The bulk of the old gathering places are gone. The Mexican place between Porter and Harvard which actually Did serve excellent food but really was a sit at the bar "hey Joe howya been"Charles then renovated (keeping the inexplicable fake glowing orange logs up near the ceiling) the table near the exit where soup was given to the needy . The double doors that created a vortex of wind that made opening to the street nigh impossible & the greatest pile of charcoal broiled pork chops I'll ever have. Emeraude spray for a quarter gone.The Irish working area gentrified with a vengeance leaving Paddy's an oasis. You'll drive past it. No lunch
Everything you can ask for and expect from a Mom & Pop. I much prefer them over the chains like Joe Sent Me
Most Excellent little neighborhood bar.Warm, friendly, legit! We stumbled upon this little gem on a walk about- It's small and basic but we were warmly welcomed. unpretentious, clean, and you cld feel the strong Irish family heritage in every nook.
Great experience - just moved to the area and were warmly welcomed. Paul was very friendly and we will be back for the 5K!
They don't make em like this anymore. 5 stars for the drinks, they'll get you there. 5 stars for the patrons, a book worth of stories. 6 stars for the staff, Kevin is great.
No equal. Want a great bar? This is it. High expectations? I hope so. If Cheers didn’t have a studio audience and never let in Kirstie Alley, that’s Paddy’s.
