Soooo goood! Everything here was so delicious. There was a dance in my mouth and taste buds got activated! The servers were all very polite and friendly. They recommend a couple plates and they were great!Highly recommend the zucchini borek! In addition to the food and service, I loved that every staff member was wearing mask and this place is one of the few places in Boston that are checking vaccination cards. They don’t take reservations for the patio and we had to wait about an hour to get a table.
Mediterranean food with a twist! Fatteh, Spinach Falafel, Topik, and the Lemon Chicken with Zaatar stood out the most. Portions are on the smaller side; order more and share.
This is a very charming place. The staff is very good, friendly, efficient, knowledgeable. They seem to have a good wine list. However aside from a goat cheese appetizer we got, I found the food underwhelming despite hearing rave reviews about this place.
Loved the venue itself : you immediately feel at ease in this comfortable setting. The garden area is amazing at this time of the year with fully blossomed trees. The food : middle eastern and Turkish delicacies at their best - discrete spices transport you to the tales of the Thousand and One Nights . Delicious! We will go back without a doubt.
One of the best culinary experience that Cambridge can offer. As one of the top 3 Mediterranean restaurants in Cambridge, Oleana certainly did not disappoint. I’ve been to quite a few upscale Mediterranean restaurants, but Oleana was one of the few places that can masterfully combine the authentic and contemporary elements of Mediterranean cuisines. Oleana focuses more on the Turkish dishes which also makes them stand out a bit more,We started off with the whipped feta which was a great representation of how spices are used in Mediterranean dishes. The subsequent hot meze plates - Vermont quail kebob, moussaka, borek, trout spanakopita - were also spectacular. While the spice levels have been compromised to make the dishes more palatable, the subtle scent of different spices was adequate to make them interesting. For the entrées, we had the lemon chicken and the Istanbul fish stew. Lemon chicken was covered in za’atar which is a mix of different spices, and the cheese pancake underneath perfectly compensated for the slightly dry texture of the chicken. Istanbul fish stew was the only menu that I thought was a tad bland, but it was still a nice introduction to Turkish food.We finished our meal with their signature baked Alaska which was phenomenal. Under the melted zesty meringue were some coffee ice cream and coconut pastry, and I enjoyed every bite of it. CoHighly recommend trying them out, but make sure to make the reservation at least two weeks in advance.
Came here last minute on a Sunday since my girlfriend had a gift card. The food here is share plate style with a few larger plates. The favorites were the lemon chicken and the falafel. I had the baked Alaska and I highly recommend getting it's so delicious and unique in it's look. Will turn heads at the table. The atmosphere here is pretty good as well. Good for a date night and a chill time with friends.
A fine dining experience. Expectedly in the expensive side. The appetizers met our expectations particularly we loved the quail kabab, lamb with pepper dish and sultan delight (tamarind beef short ribs). For entree we shared the lamb gyro between 2 people which was enough food. The dish wasn't that impressive.Baked alaska is definitely the most ordered dessert here, every table had one. But I think it's overhyped, good for first time try. Probably not have it again.Overall the ambience was good, definitely crowded but all the staff were very friendly and helped us with the menu.
RUN DON’T WALK, OK? It was so good. The staff seemed very happy and the vibe was very cozy and fun. Fantastic food and service. I love that they add a house fee to pay their staff fairly. Definitely recommend!
All the meze dishes were incredible! Lovely staff, great wine. This place is amazing.
We made a dinner reservation here. Parking is right opposite so that’s good. Service is quick. Small menu but everything on the menu is delicious. Mezes are all delicious. We tried multiple dishes and were impressed by all. Must try sweet potato with lamb moussaka. Deviled egg is good too.
