Wonderful experience. Ordered the beef stroganoff, the feijoada, and Brazilian chicken patties. The feijoada was okay but that’s more likely due to me not having Brazilian food before and not to them not preparing it well. It would be great if the patties were served with a dipping sauce but totally understand that may not be how they’re authentically served. Either way they were delicious! I’d go back and sample more of the menu.

Didn't like the steak. Ordered a medium, but it was way well done, chewy and hard to eat.Loved the calamari and chicken patties.

I have eaten at Muqueca for years and the food is always delicious which is why it’s always packed. It can get crowded especially on weekends since it’s kind of a small space. Sometimes be prepared to wait and add the name to a a waitlist when needed.Sometimes waiting time on food and service may take a little longer than usual depending on how busy it is.I enjoy the tropical juices and the desserts. Our waitress was friendly and very kind.Over all a great experience.

Do you know when something is so divine and delicious that it makes you angry from lacking the ability to comprehend how it all could possibly in this universe taste so good? That’s how I am leaving this restaurant today. Came here on a date with my lovely wife and this place went beyond our expectations. I got the Cod & Shrimp Muqueca and she got the Shrimp Bobó, along with a side of rice and mocotó. If you love seafood this place is a an absolute must. Although seafood dishes are their specialty, they also have other Brazilian dishes. It reminds me a lot of Southern European cuisine (Spanish and Portuguese food). I can’t recommend enough.

I ordered 2 dinners through uber eats It took me an extra 20 minutes to get there after I got the notification my order was ready. When I arrived I still had to wait for my order a lot longer than I expected. They weren't busy and I didn't have to wait in line. The food was good for my friends dinner their only complaint was they wanted more onions that didn't stop them from eating the entire dish though. My dinner was good besides the steak. I asked for medium rare and they made mine well done which it dried out the steak. Nothing I said here will stop me from ordering food from them in the future and I do recommend stopping by for a bite.

I love ordering from Muqueca and have been doing that for some time now. Recently I actually went there in person and unsurprisingly it’s better! I almost always get the sirloin steak because it’s very tasty and the amount of food you get for the price is incredible. I will be coming back to actually try the food items they are known for and I can’t wait.

Meh! I really wanted to love this place, the name “Muqueca” reminds me of my childhood in Bahia, Brazil and the amazing food I ate growing up there. But unfortunately, the food is far from authentic and delicious. It could be because I only tried their vegetarian options. The vegetarian meals need a lot of improvement regarding taste and even freshness. My feijão tropeiro was served a bit cold and I wasn’t impressed.I like the staff! They are really nice :) but the food needs work:)

One of our party of three (who had eaten at Muqueca before) ordered for the table. The food was delightful. We began with codfish cakes. Our mains were shrimp and cod dishes that came in individual pots. The dishes were visually appealing (see photos) and delicious. The staff were attentive and helpful, interacting with us in both Portuguese and English. I'll be back there next time I am in Somerville or Cambridge.

Get the muqueca, obviously!

Feijoa Tropeiro $12.00 a must, would like to try the Seafood platter and the mariscada
