Recently they have a 17.99 ayce meat option on certain days of the week. And their meat quality has always been very good so would recommend
I will give 0.1 star to this restaurant. It’s probably one of the worst in Boston & Cambridge area. We come with four adults and a toddler. We asked for a table for 5. The attitude of the front desk waitress is one of the worst I ever experienced. She talked too fast and I do not know they have a special deal on Sunday night. She did not explained well and blamed on we do not understand well. Then she just kept us waiting and showed very mean face to us. I will never come to this place again. And I do think the waitress is a racist.
the server is really bad especially a American born Chinese, and the server is kind of racist.
All you can meat:) very pleasant with the food. Seemed very busy so service was a bit slow but understandable. Friendly staff and reasonable price for hotpot.
Delicious hot pot with many different side dishes to choose from. The meat ones were excellent, as well as the tofu ones. It was really fun for a midsize group (7 people). The staff was always very attentive and friendly. We ordered a lot of food, so the bill went up a little (~$50, w/o any beers or softdrinks) but we could have eaten a bit less and still be full. There are a lot of indoor seats but it was quite busy (we booked in advance).
Came here on a Monday evening and had their all-you-can eat with orders of some veges, tofu, and fish ball.Ordered a half-half broth base. The spicy one was light and normal. The tomato one was really good, very nice and intense flavor. The food were all good and fresh. The service was good as they took orders and got the broth and food to you very soon considering how busy they were during the all-you-can-eat hours, although they gave us a wrong item and missed once. They added broth once when it was low. And we ordered our 2nd round and it was also good and fast. The only thing to complain is that towards the end of our 1.5-hour time slot, we asked 3 times for adding the broth to finish the last dish of lamb meat. They just nodded and said okay, but never added the broth. We ended up adding the water in their water bottle to the pot. Then when our time was up, they brought the check to us.But the service was not like that all the time and if more focus is the food and taste, 5 star it deserves especially for at that price.
Service was efficient and friendly. Ingredients were all fresh and delicious. The broths are undeniably tasty, and the menu has something for everyone, including a bunch of tofu and mushroom options for non meat eaters. We came as a group and ate to our hearts' content. The food isn't particularly heavy so overeating doesn't turn you into a slug like, say, Southern American cuisine would. That makes Happy Lamb a good place to go before spending a night on the town. A nice touch is that they keep air conditioning at the perfect level for people who are eating a lot of hot soup. You won't feel overheated and sweaty while eating here.
This place is really popular for students in the area and they have a large space inside so there is enough space between tables to be able to talk and extra group even though it’s super popular and there’s a lot of people inside and there’s a lot of conversations happening at the same time. The hot pot was really good and the great news was that they were able to accommodate our vegetarian friends as well as the other members of our group who wanted to have the traditional spicy hot pot soup. Overall it was a great experience, that spiciness was a little bit too much for me and it was pretty salty and so I had to drink a lot of water afterwards but it was a great bonding moment with a big group of friends so if you ever need to go somewhere with a big group this might be a good place to go.
This place had a decent taste. It was quite pricy. We were being charged for the broth and each of of side items (meat, noodle, and veggies). With the price of the side items, we expected a bigger portion. We also felt numb afterward, the sign of consuming too much msg.
* Made my belly and pocket both happy *I find this place my future go-to place for a hot pot diner.Truth be said, the broth here is quite tasty and they serve you really quickly. The sweet fried rolls in desert here are a MUST try. I loved them a lot.One concern:getting noodles from the curry pot is very tedious and seems impossible. I would suggest that the restaurant address this immediately. There are spoons available which help you "latch" noodles in them while taking curry - I saw them in another hot pot place - I request the restaurant to get those.Rest assured one can have a cheap and tasty hot pot here.
