Loved the place. Went there for lunch. Great vegetarian options. Fast service.
Best place for sushi. Highly highly recommend getting the Boat if you go with a group. Great choice of appetizers as well. Price range is slightly on the higher side but it’s justified by the setting, the food, the quantity and the place. Wish they had more dessert options other than mochi.
I liked the lunch specials (sashimi, gourmet). Sashimi was better.
First time checking out this restaurant, probably last time having their sushi. Was quite disappointed with the sushi entry I got, it was grocery store quality, restaurant price. There’re 2 important factors for me for sushi quality, one is the rice base, it should have slight acidity, each grain should have texture and relatively separated, the rice part of my sushi were all mushed together and had very strong sweet and sour taste. Then is the fish, it should first look fresh then not have the tough inedible tissues in the slices, the sushi I got failed both. On top of these 2, usually chef selection in a good Japanese restaurant indicates some level of care and selectivity, the pieces I got were not ‘chef selection’, it was basic grocery store combo. Plus was extremely slow for the food to get to us, but this is more understandable given it was a busy Saturday night. Sushi and sashimi orders are good items to test quality of a Japanese restaurant, as the food ingredients quality cannot be hidden by sauce and presentations, the ones I had here were the worst among all Japanese restaurants of similar scale I’ve tried around Boston in recent 3 years.
Ordered a sushi boat for takeout dinner on Valentine’s day expecting a long wait but it was ready in 30 minutes! taste and presentation were on point. everything was super fresh. the reason I chose this spot was because I adhere to a non-celiac gluten-free diet (just intolerant not allergic). hard to find a sushi spot with GF options believe it or not. i really just enjoyed it so much.
Really fresh and beautifully presented dinner. We had salt and pepper shrimp, then had pineapple fried rice, chicken katsu, BLT sushi, salmon nagiri, and tuna maki rolls. We're looking forward to our next visit at Fuji
Portions are very small but flavor and refreshness are good. One of the sushi chefs had terrible covid protocol - his mask was so loose that it was under his nose all the time and falling below his mouth half the time because he kept talking. He kept reaching up to touch his mask and then touch the sushi and back and forth. Not ok.
Very nice place with nice food! The sushi is great, the fried rice and gyoza are amazing.I've been here a lot of times with family and friends and the restaurant never disappoints.I also recommend it to my friends and they love it.
Went for a company dinner. It’s very Americanized Japanese restaurant. The fish is not very fresh, so the nigiri and sashimi are just alright. The chicken katsu is hard to chew.
While the food is great they fail with take out food. One time, we decreased the default 18% tip (this is take out) and they substituted normal dumpling sauce with mustard and left out the tempura sauce. Tried again with recommended tip - 15 minutes after it was supposed to be ready they hand me 1/2 the order. 15 minutes later they hand me the rest. Tempura that was in the first 1/2 was cold by then. The staff was indifferent.
