everything in there is overpriced even the tap water
They have some good GF options. The online ordering is fairly reliable here compared to other Flour locations (using the Toast App). But they stopped making the mate lattes, and the breakfast sandwiches are okay but below par of other good cafes. Decent banana bread and good pastries, cakes overall.
The coffee was good, and the egg sandwich is the best for my brunch.
Flour has had me hooked since college. They may be the single reason I gained 15lbs my freshmen year lol. Any thing you pick on the menu is going to be great. I’ve never gotten something that I did not like here. The egg sandwich and the homemade pop tarts are a must.
The place as such is nice and in a good location. However, the service is terrible. I ordered two cappuccino with cinnamon on top and it took them 15min to prepare. Once they were ready I noticed that both cups were largely empty. I told the staff that I wasn’t happy since the cups were so empty, and the staff that prepared them, admitted that something “fall off” from the machine while they were preparing them, that’s why the cups were empty. They apologized and offered to prepare new coffees and after another 15min these were ready but without cinnamon. I asked for cinnamon and the staff was trying to use an empty cinnamon container obviously without success. To be completely honest a pinch of cinnamon came out on top of the first cappuccino and the staff considered that this is enough as they didn’t look interested in looking for another cinnamon container. I asked if they had some more cinnamon and they then asked a colleague to search for cinnamon at the back. After I had to wait for another 5-10min, and the staff was not coming back, I considered that I had enough, took the cappuccino and left. What a disappointing experience!!
Flour Bakery & Cafe is a delightful place to grab a latte and as well as delicious cakes snd other desserts. They offer gluten-free muffins as well as other yummy cookies, cake slices as well as sandwiches.
It is a very convenient location in front of buses stops near Harvard Square. The place was somehow crowded but it was Sunday after noon. After a short line we ordered a veggie quiche and a smoked turkey sandwich to start celebrating Thanksgiving. The Latte was fine and, yes, we had dessert first with one of the cakes. All tables were filled with people having a good time and using laptops. A larger sitting room will be great. #AbuelosMochileros in Cambridge.
Great pastry selection! My friend and I both had their pumpkin spice latte which was really good along with a seasonal turkey, cranberry sandwich. My raspberry filled donut was also pretty big so if you have a sweet tooth I think this is the place for you.
Amazing lunchtime specials. They had delicious pastries. Made for a great takeout meal. The place was packed at midday lunch and the restaurant was regulating the number of people in and out. It took awhile to get my food and coffee order, but it’s worth it.
Great sandwiches and very friendly people. Has a positive vibe.
