This is my favorite Mexican spot in Boston. They have fresh Jalapenos, the same staff consistently for years now, and they treat anyone with respect. You can order a plate/bowl online and they WON'T skimp on your order if you aren't there looking.They are my favorite Mexican place cause the food though. I will get a bowl from these folks anytime I can.Did I mention they're open till 4-5AM?
Good food. Ok service. Fairly decent eating spaces.The employees spend a lot of energy trying to keep food out of your order.They must get fired if an extra ounce makes it into the bowl.
Food is great but unfortunately the last few times we have ordered from the Cambridge location, the orders have been wrong. No promised accompanying sides with some entrees, and this time I ordered the vegetarian quesadillas but was given chicken quesadillas instead. I will give them one more chance but if the order continues to be incorrect and incomplete, I won't return. I hope they'll pay closer attention to what the orders include.
Purchase in-store and left togo. Bought a steak bowl, and it was excellent! Free guac. Great price for the quality (~$10). I'm never going back to chipotle again, and this is one of my favorite places now
My recent experience was abysmal. I placed an order for burrito bowl; but the order taker kept repeating my order as fajita bowl. Granted that we both were talking through our masks. When I saw the receipt, I saw that I have been charged at the higher rate of fajita bowl: so I reiterated to the cashier /order taker pointing out the price at the menu. He instead blaimed me for the wrong order, charged me the price of fajita bowl and scornfully threw a few extra pieces of fish in the bowl, did not close the lid properly. Overall the experienc was bad. I think you should keep people who speak and understand English better at the counter and not mess up order like this. By the way, previously my wife ordered from the same place online. They managed to mess up that order as well. The food is reasonable though.
Place can be very good if they get the order right but they mess it up a lot. Also would it be too much to label each burrito if there are several in the order? We order it at work, have to cut them open to see if we can figure out which one belongs to who. On many occasions we ended up eating someone else’s burrito or the order was just way off to begin with. Too much guessing involved!
Great food but lately El Jefe's is taking a hit on bad reviews due to @GrubHub's poor ordering system with algorithm issues which I have brought to their attention, and seems they still haven't fixed since I placed an order months prior. On 3 separate occasions on the same date and time I received my order incorrect. When I compared the order from my GrubHub account against the receipt received from El Jefe's, it was determined I was missing many items from my burrito bowl. I contacted GrubHub in which they kept refunding me, and I also mentioned the issue. I ordered El Jefe's 2 more times and the same error occurred both times. I could see once they mess up the order due to reading it wrong but not 3x. El Jefe's only puts an order together based on the ordering slips they receive from GrubHub, so if something is off with GrubHub's ordering system that is what the restaurant is receiving and thus creating the order from. As much as these food delivery services are ripping off these restaurants, they got a nerve to make the restaurant take accountability for their mess ups and ordering errors. They're already scamming these vendors out of $$$ and continue to affect these companies in a negative manner. Time for these vendors to go back to the old delivery ways and cut the greedy middle man! These good delivery services are a total rip off with their high fees, whacked discounts that don't add up, and lack of customer service.
The Mexican Bowl with carnitas asada was THE BEST, the music was perfect and made feel like I was on vacation...not too loud, but just perfect! The ladies were very helpful!

Got the Super Chimichangas and it was really delicious. They had a variety of hot sauces as well. Very good service and staff was friendly to us. I would definitely recommend
