We tried out this place quite a few times last year when it was relatively new and I thought the food was decent but silly me always forgot to write a review for it. I had a even better visit few weekends ago so decided not to procrastinate any longer to tell my positive experience here :)The fried intestine was one of my favorite dish here and I'm really happy they got it quite right that its not overly dry and not overly spicy either. The pork mince meat rice was pretty good but definitely I would recommend their main entrees. The scallion pancake beef roll was superb and I liked their unique presentation of serving it like sushi rolls :)The staff were very friendly as I had remembered from last year's visits and last time wasn't any different. The only minor downside would be having to find parking but if you can take bus or bike that definitely would be easier in my opinion. I hope they have many many years of success as we'll be regular patrons here for sure
Ordered the steamed pork+cabbage, the steamed pork+scallion, and the fried Taiwan style dumplings. The pork and cabbage were my favorite but they were all good. We got a couple extras in the box, too! Will definitely order again when I'm after dumplings.
Just got traditional bubble tea to go and it was so yummy. Staff was very pleasant and appreciative. Only waited a minute or two for the tea. Restaurant is clean and tea was delicious!
Another tiresome and expensive symptom of the pandemic is the decreased quality of food at local restaurants coupled with rising prices. This place was no exception. This meal was supposed to be a celebratory meal and Halal to boot which means--NO PORK. We ordered shrimp dishes and Peking duck specifically to avoid pork. Pork was integrated all over the rice and fried shrimp in little triangle bits not noticeable until you dug in to eat. For real? This is what we're doing now?$85.00 worth of food and it was not enjoyable to the fullest. Uncle Roger would NOT approve. The pineapple rice was so Karen at a picnic bland, that it included raisins and peas. The crispy shrimp tasted like it came from another meal and was refried. There was a strange aftertaste and a tough texture to the meal overall. The shrimp lo mein was gummy with no flavor...you get the point. After a talk with management, we received a $30 refund for the dishes that were contaminated with swine. Fine. However, if this was allergy related, having unwanted ingredients with no fore warning could've been disastrous for our immediate health.Lesson learned. There will be no repeat business and we'll just stick to the reasonably authentic places we already patronize in Chinatown.
High quality, tasty food. I’d say this leans authentic and “homemade” over your average Chinese take out restaurant. They have a nice dining room that can seat many.
This used to be our favorite spot when it first opened up; however the last 3 times we have ordered the consistency and quality of the food is not the same. The scallion pancakes were our favorite and they must have changed the recipe, they were soggy and undercooked with no flavor the last few times. The dumplings are also doughier and heavier.
I've grown to really like this place. They're dumplings are especially good, but I've also had their lunch specials, the Kung Pao chicken and garlic chicken. Both I liked but again the dumplings is why I keep coming back.
By far, the most authentic and beautifully tasting place I have found in Boston. Everything we ordered was so good.
Full disclosure, we didn't order the food and left. I understand prices are going up and up and up these days but... You still need to provide value. While in the middle of ordering a beef dish I was informed that rice does not come with it. You have to order separately. In all my years of eating, trying many Asian spots around the country and Asia, I have never heard of this before. It's like ordering pizza and being told cheese doesn't come with it... Or spaghetti but you need to pay extra for the sauce. If they are nickel and diming the rice what other cost saving actions are they taking and not telling you?
A bit oily. Good for satisfying dumpling craving if you're nearby but there are better options
