I recently had dinner at Dumpling House with a large group and was very impressed. We were seated quickly, despite not having a reservation. They had tons of delicious food at very reasonable prices. The soup dumplings are especially impressive. I was also surprised by the value of the wine list. Overall, this is an excellent spot for Chinese food in Cambridge.
We came here on the Memorial Day weekend for late lunch(2PM) to try their famous soup dumplings.Street parking is available but tough to find.We were seated promptly, however this place is generally busy and seating is first come first serve basis( no advance reservations).Service staff was friendly, food came in fast and portions are large.Overall a good experience.
As I was happily eating my dumpling to my surprise I found a baby roach in my food, .That means that there's probably a whole family of roaches in their kitchen. I went back for a refund and they immediately gave it to me as they can confirm with their own eyes that it was a roach. So unless you like extra protein (roaches) in your food this is the best place to go. I should have called the health department, but I hope that the owner of this restaurant find this review and takes action.The food is good but the cleanliness of the restaurant is very questionable. I will never be coming back here, and for those who see this be aware.
Dumpling house features flavorful food with an extensive vegetarian menu. Be sure to discuss with the waiters, they can produce stuff that may not even be on the menu.
Best restaurant I have been to in Boston so far. Fresh food. Handmade. Tastes super delicious. And on top of that: really affordable! I love it! Came back several times already.
The food was excellent. My 7 yr old tried vegetable dumplings for the first time here and said they were “soo good”. We also got the salt and pepper fish fillet, which we’ve ordered many times before at different Asian restaurants and we all agreed these were the best we’ve ever had. Service was quick and friendly. Will come back if we are in the Boston area again!
Delicious! My husband and I lived in China for some time, so we can be picky, but Dumpling House delivered tasty and authentic buns, dumplings, and entrees at a reasonable price. Dine-in service was fast and friendly, even though they were slammed with takeout orders. The crispy house duck was our favorite!
* Best place to start trying new things *I've realized that this place is good in multiple different things than just one.They have one of the best Pork Wontons in appetizers - A MUST TRY.Apart from that, they strive to make everything quite perfect.I love the drink options too.A long term suggestion would be to make table for two folks a little bigger.I still highly recommend this restaurant for an authentic meal in Cambridge.
One of my favorite restaurants in Boston area. Some of my go to items include: stinky tofu, soup dumplings, west lake soup, fish with picked greens. Portions are large and prices are reasonable.
Possibly the best steamed dumplings we have ever had! The stir fried flat noodles were amazing too!! So glad we decided to try this restaurant out. The restaurant was packed and had tons of deliveries lined up too but despite that the service was pretty efficient. Was glad we gave this restaurant a shot and will definitely be back if we make it to Boston again!!
