This is only the third review I’ve ever given, but this place really earned it. 23% tip included even though it’s counter service and you have to set your own cutlery and grab your own water. $24 for a four cheese board (that’s the price most places would charge you for cheese AND meat). More fruit flies than a Brooklyn dumpster. Inconvenient seating. The staff seemed nice enough, so call that a saving grace if you’d like but I’m never going back.

Very casual atmosphere. Option of indoor and outdoor seating. Indoor seating has couches and low chairs and lush, loud music. Outdoor seating is standard patio furniture in a peppy yellow. (I greatly preferred the outdoors.) It's seat-yourself. It wasn't clear to me that it's also serve-yourself (utensils)-- I saw the cart and initially assumed it was a clean up station like you would get at a cafe. So, I went napkin-less with my cheese plate appetizer. They also don't hand out menus so you have to get them in line moments before ordering. Wow, that puts the pressure on! Fortunately you can't go wrong with the wine. And it's all about the wine here: the wine is the focus and the food is just the accompaniment, so don't expect an amazing meal necessarily, but do expect amazing wine. The food was nice too but not stand-out. We visited for pasta night.

Very cute and cool wine bar. The big communal table makes it feel more loungy than most wine bars I’ve been to. My only feedback would be to have more comfy seating. Otherwise the prices were reasonable, wine was tasty and the people working were helpful. Looks like they took the feedback from previous reviews because prices were listed, instructions were clear and service was attentive.

Providing an ambiance as vivacious as it is cozy, I hope Dear Annie is what the future of pub-culture looks like. Their wine selection was outstanding, their cheese and homemade bread offering was delicious, and I can't wait to return for one of their weekly pizza/pasta nights.

A gorgeous space, amazing food, and the loveliest people you’ll ever meet. The perfect night out when you want to relax and be somewhere fabulous at the same time. Go for a drink and you’ll end up staying all evening and making new friends to boot.

thoughtfully curated space, wine list, snacks and vibes. Service is outstanding, the knowledge of wine is palpable yet approachable and non-condescending. An inclusive space where you’ll leave having already planned your next visit. 10/10 will be going regularly.

incredibly refreshing space and needed addition to the greater Boston food/wine scene. very knowledge staff!!! they are great with the natural focused by the glass recommendations. I love the decor, plants, artwork, even the pillows! makes a very cozy, unique space with a thoughtful pescatarian menu...make sure you try some of their own conservas and oysters...you cannot go wrong. this is a place where you make friends with the staff and keep coming back to hang out with your friends. love it here. almost forgot...their bread is made in house and is to die for...whenever they have their onion rolls GET THEM. okay I could go on and on.

While this restaurant attempts to be cozy and intimate, the service and attention to guests left much to be desired. No direction is given when you enter the restaurant as to where to go and where to order. Very few staff were present for the number of guests. When trying to figure out how to order food after a 40 min wait for a table, we had to ask multiple people for assistance with very curt and unhelpful responses. The food was good but portions are very small. Food and drinks were incredibly expensive with shockingly high service tax and kitchen fees (20% per bill!!!) that need to be paid multiple times without being informed about (we paid twice and the service was horrendous). I do not recommend going and will not be returning and wish I could get a refund for this horrible experience. Very disappointing establishment in this area.

An original and incredible bright spot in the same-ness of so many restaurants. One of the best wine lists you will find, and honest, non-fussy next-level food. Thank god for this place.

Unjustifiably expensive
