Used to frequent Darwin's. Concerned about how workers are treated here, especially following the 7 minute walk out. FYI, the Venn Diagram between Darwin's customers and people who shop "free range", organic, Equal Exchange coffee, etc is almost a circle. Come to the table in good faith or lose customers. And no, squashing organizers won't help--we actually talk to baristas, and I'm not gonna get a "good vibe" from the place if you have the cutest couches but the baristas are straight up not having a good time.

They held up work for 7 minutes to show solidarity with Starbucks 7. So inspiring! So brave! Those 7 minutes were so powerful! As people were late for work or just trying to get a coffee in the morning to start their day, they were educated on the struggles of making coffee. People with careers and actual skills got a chance to learn the struggles of a barista employee. They are fighting the real fight! Definitely made Starbucks second guess their decision. Would 100% recommend if your looking for a coffee and a lecture. We shouldn’t think we’re entitled to a simple transaction when we spend hard earned money at an establishment. Who are we to think going to a coffee shop means just getting coffee. No, that thought process makes us ignore all the problems in this world such as, which bathrooms people can use. Everytime I feel how privileged I am in this world, I will go to this coffee shop to remind myself that 22 year old men with ponytails understand the true issues in this society.

Really good coffee and espresso drinks. A fantastic breakfast sandwich menu. Comfortable seating. Friendly service.

My oat milk latte was tasty and super hot, just the way I like it, and just the way I ordered it. Their system is a little confusing because you order on one side and then go to the other side of the restaurant for pick up. And at the pick up station they have a nice pastry counter but I’m unsure whether you can get a pastry there or have to go back over to the other side again. They also suffer from “coffee shop syndrome,“ which we all see now with every table taken up by a single person on a computer for hours on end, leaving us transitory Java addicts seatless (or as my voice software says “seedless“). I don’t have a solution to that problem, other than not providing Wi-Fi.

Great coffee shop with a good vibe and great place to study

Sandwiches are great, service not so much. Was waiting around for 15 mins (standing outside the door) walked in to look at the readied orders sitting on the counter every 2-3 mins for my name.Nobody (out of 3 ppl) had the courtesy to ask the name on the order, while the order was waiting to be picked up on top of the oven to the back side. When I asked for the name and got the order, I said - "seems like it's been ready for a while" - the response was "yeah, we keep it warm for you"If they had asked for the name or noticed that someone was waiting looking around the front counter, would have not lost 15 mins.

My co-workers and I visited their Putnam Avenue location (which, apparently, does not have its own TripAdvisor page). There's really nothing good to say, unless you're fond of stale baked goods and weak coffee. Management should also pay attention to staff training. As we stood in a rather long line, the staff were very busy chatting amongst themselves, and pretending that they were entertainers / performers (which they CLEARLY are not!). When a lady finally spoke up and asked if they could move the line more quickly, she was greeted with a nasty response and some bitchy facial expressions. Needless to say, Darwin's is off our list!

Good, strong coffee. No laptop policy

Superb Sammies. Nice selection of beer too!

Nice sandwich place, with pretty good food, but definitely not worth the wait time. It’s clearly popular, but management needs to hire more staff to handle the demand. This is a consistent issue each time I have visited here, will not be visiting again
