good coffee, great seating, but wifi was not good enough to work on

Darwin‘s is a local go to espresso shop for me. They really pay attention to the details of making espresso drinks. Are my favorite here is the 8 ounce hot mocha, which they make with chocolate milk.Or you can ask them to use chocolate syrup instead, which is what I did today.I got there 8 ounce flat white, and ask them to add half chocolate syrup to that. It was delicious!

Bad sandwich, pic is from 1 bite in, dined in, onions were in 1 knotted bunch, and it was just a runny crumbled mess. Coffee was boiling when I got it, took about 15mins before it was drinkable. wifi is lackluster. $15 for less than mediocre stuff.

Aggressive staff. Asked for oat milk for my flat white. Instead of admitting the mistake barista chose to blame me for not having told her my milk preference. I can sympathize with how stressful it is working in service industry but the human element is lost.

Love this spot for unique, super tasty, hearty sandwiches! They're sometimes out of things, which is a bummer if you're picky, but there are so many great options, I never find it hard to choose something else :)

My co-workers and I visited their Putnam Avenue location (which, apparently, does not have its own TripAdvisor page). There's really nothing good to say, unless you're fond of stale baked goods and weak coffee. Management should also pay attention to staff training. As we stood in a rather long line, the staff were very busy chatting amongst themselves, and pretending that they were entertainers / performers (which they CLEARLY are not!). When a lady finally spoke up and asked if they could move the line more quickly, she was greeted with a nasty response and some bitchy facial expressions. Needless to say, Darwin's is off our list!

They make the BEST sandwiches! Excellent bread. The Rindge and Soldiers Field are my faves!

Ordered a drink and a savory scone, they forgot about the scone and when I went up to ask for it the person helping me was really sassy, kind of made me feel anxious, and then forgot that she put the scone in the toaster. It was completely black on top and the cheese in it was super burnt as well. They asked me in a way that felt kind of condescending whether it was "too toasted for you" so I felt too nervous to say it was/point out that I was paying like 6$ for a completely charred piece of cheese but whatever just made me feel really bad.

30+ minutes wait for a large latte on a steady but not terribly busy Sunday morning. Completely uncalled for. I highly suggest you go somewhere else.

The staff seems to be working hard but the place feels mismanaged. They ran out of bread at 1pm! Both times I’ve gone I have been waiting for at least 30 minutes. Sandwich ingredients were good but the presentation was very sloppy.
