Simple Belgium waffles. It doesn’t wow you at first but it grows on you. Not too sweet like Zinnekens can sometimes get. They don’t have amazing quality control though haha. Some days the batches are drier than others, so it also depends on your luck on whether you get a good waffle or not. Definitely go back a few more times if your first try didn’t impress you!
This place has great energy. Staff is friendly and efficient. An extra plus is offering their yummy Liege waffles. Oh my.
This is one of my favorite coffee shops in the Cambridge/Somerville area. The beans are always freshly roasted and is a customized blend from a famous local roaster.I usually just do espressos/americanos but have tried almost everything on their menu. Waffles are a must try and they come in both sweet/savory styles. My personal favorite is the “Everything Waffle” which comes with cream cheese on the top. They do have Wifi and a few tables in case you are planning on working from here.
Went here on the most blistering hot morning of spring I’ve ever experienced, so this iced coffee kind of saved my life. Highly recommend the iced latte and dining in.
Great espresso based drinks and the everything waffle was a great savory snack to complement the sweet Cortado I got
Great coffee and waffles for breakfast. Finally got the chance to try their famous liege waffles which are claimed to be the best in the state. Got both the regular liege waffle and the everything waffle with cream cheese on top, and they were legit. For the liege waffle, studded pearl sugar gave it a crispy outer layer, but the inside was fluffy like a muffin. The everything waffle had some sesame seeds and onion bits which made it taste like an everything bagel but with a better texture. The extra savory toppings and spread on it certainly made it feel more like a proper breakfast than the liege waffle which tasted more like a dessert. Nevertheless, they were both great complements to the coffee.Unfortunately, they are still only open for takeouts and the ordering process has to be through their website. The waffles are usually sold out the night before, so if you want to try their waffles, I would recommend placing your order early.
This is my favorite place to grab a coffee and eat a waffle. It's quaint, the service is so kind, and the waffles are addictive. Hesitated to leave a review only because I wanted to keep it a hidden gem. ?
Fantastic coffee, not to mention the liege waffle which is INCREDIBLE. I usually get an iced latte + extra double shot + skim milk + vanilla syrup and it is absolutely perfect. I love starting my Saturday mornings here.Order ahead on Toast and wait for the text to let you know your order is ready (the estimate is usually pretty accurate), and then head up to the window to let them know you are there. The staff are wonderful!Anxiously awaiting the return of the nighttime wine bar!!
This is the new place to take all of my money. After reading the reviews, I set out to try it. I've literally been multiple times every week since I've discovered them in February. I commute to Cambridge(Central) for work, but I've made the trip over to Curio even when I'm not working because honestly the coffee is just so good. It satisfies the soul. Drinks taste magnificent every time whether brewed coffee, lattes, or cappuccinos. The staff is nice. The only thing I'd say is that if you are not a dairy drinker, go with the oat milk, the almond is too sweet. Also even though they're super fast be careful with parking because I parked just beyond the shop to pick up what I'd ordered and no more than 2mins returned and had a ticket. That was on me... At least my "$40" coffee taste great.
Go for the waffle and buy coffee elsewhere. The waffles are great. They are the best waffles I had in the USA. But, I have to be honest, their Americano and cappuccino are terrible. Way too much water in their shots.I read that other reviewers loved the coffee here. There are only two possibilities. Either they were training a new barista, or they just screwed up my coffees.
