After a slightly awkward start without receiving a menu when seated and a small wait time from meeting our waiter and a delayed first set of drinks, the rest of our time at Colette was a wonderfully bustling French dream. We started with the Duck Confit & Mushroom appetizer and the Brown Derby cocktail, which were DELICIOUS. Our entrees were the Steak Frites & the Swordfish - both tender and flavorful. The swordfish was delightful and light where the Steak was hardy and flavorful. (The Steak dish was also a great portion for the price with a healthy portion of fries.) For dessert we got the creme brí»lée and macarons. Also fantastic! After a bumpy start, service was wonderful, the ambiance fun (though a bit loud) and the food was immaculate. Will definitely be returning!
We felt so rushed here. It wasn't even that busy - they had our meal to us before our drinks even arrived. We could have been in and out in 30 min - so much for a night out away from the kids. The Golden Hour cocktail was HORRIBLE! The scallop dinner was like an appetizer - 3 scallops and very little of the sides, maybe one slice of peach diced up, a teaspoon of parsnips, and a few ears of corn. We went out for burgers after our experience here since we were starving! The back patio is nice if you want to go for a glass of wine. Steer clear of their mixed drinks.
There were rats around while we were outdoor dining. Could see these rodents across the patio. A gross experience while trying to eat dinner.
The Life Alive collab was wonderful! Really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere
This pop up was delicious!
Charming French restaurant with lovely outdoor patio. Food was delicious & wait staff very helpful. Definitely a place to return to again.
Loved the backyard seating. Cassie was great too.
Service was surprisingly mediocre. Some food was great (fries, onion soup, bread, chicken) and others were bland and weird (lamb lasagna). They seemed really eager to clear the table, even though it was a random Tuesday night and they weren't busy. Felt like they wanted us to leave ASAP.
A friendly neighborhood bistro experience in Porter Square. We're big fans of the fried brussels sprouts which we had as appetizers with our drinks. The citrus salad and corn on the cob were both fresh, summery starters. The only thing bad I can say about either is that I wish there were more corn. My swordfish was perfectly prepared on a bed of fresh summer vegetables. My guests couldn't make up their minds and shared the pasta, swordfish and chicken entrees. The chicken was a particular surprise, simultaneously crispy and juicy with baked potatoes like in a Paris butcher shop.
Tasty, but not exciting. Food wasnât cooked to the level of perfection that Iâd expect for the price
