One of the best coffees around, friendly staff, nicely designed space, and quite a few sitting places for a relatively small store. Prices are higher than elsewhere (latte $5.5) but not crazy. It felt a bit crowded even though I visited after 5 PM on a Sunday...so I imagine it will get very busy at other times and you may need to wait a bit.
Excellent coffee, also nice pastry.Surely a pricey coffee - still worth every cent ?
We had a horrible experience at blue bottle. We are usually fans of blue bottle as a company. But while we were in Boston we visited the one in Cambridge and we asked for two drip coffees but the barista didn’t tell us they would make pour overs and she ended up charging us $9. We then sat down and after 15 minutes we were asked to leave since they were closing. Google said they were open until 6 but they kicked us out at four in a harsh fashion. When we requested lids for our drinks she didn’t listen and said we are closing two times. We then asked again where the lids were again and she said behind you. We were upset because she didn’t tell us they were closing when we bought our drinks and then instead of informing us that we could only buy pour overs she automatically assumed we would be fine to pay $9. We are disappointed to say the least.
Wish it wasn’t so pricey, but best iced coffee I’ve had in a long time. Will be back.
Great coffee. Interesting choices and staff take time to do it right
Honestly some of the best coffee out there. My rationale for 4 instead of 5 stars is based on the following: high price, long wait time, no order ahead, and you can’t telephone them (the number on Google just goes to a voice recording with no option to speak to someone in store-I grow weary of the continuing trend that makes reaching a business by telephone impossible - yeah yeah I sound like an old lady). But again, freaking GREAT coffee if you have the luxuries of money and time. Like, great great.
I want to start this post out by stating that I've been to many Blue Bottles around the US and I adore their coffee. Taste is impeccable every time. That being said, not sure if I will continue coming based on the cleanliness.I visited this Kendall store today and to my disgust, I saw rat droppings on the floor right next to where I was sitting in the corner. After that, I couldn't help but notice it everywhere..I don't blame the workers. I brought it to their attention, one of the sweet baristas apologized and explained they were working on the issue, but received back lash from upper management about closing the store to exterminate. Not sure how they are expected to continue to run a FOOD business with rats....
I thought Vester, the coffee shop across the street, was annoyingly overpriced, so I decided to innocently saunter over to good old Blue Bottle for a refreshing change of pace. But boy, I was more wrong than Columbus was when he thought he'd found India. Blue Bottle is a land of highly inflated prices and bizarrely expensive items! I do not see why this is worth.
I guess I got into busy hours because I waited a long time, but the coffee was great.
A real nice iced coffee. And a fine chocolate croissant
