We ordered from All Star for a large event yesterday and were so happy with their top service along with the flavor (people loved their sandwiches), quality (top ingredients), and large portions of their food. They were very communicative and easily accommodated several special requests. All Star made our event a big success--we'll have events catered by them in the future for sure. I'm already looking forward to the next one!
I lived nearby right before covid hit and really, really love this place. My dad had recently passed away at the time and leaving the house for things other than work were pretty difficult for me. But once a week I'd call in a rueben and go for a walk to pick it up. Every single person who worked there were always so kind and vibrant even though I mostly stayed mute while they grabbed my food. I don't live in Massachusetts anymore but if you do, you need to order a rueben at All Star Sandwich Bar. PS- get the big pickle, you won't be disappointed.
I drove in from some distance to try the roast beef on Weck which had been featured recently in an on-line article because of the upcoming playoff between Buffalo and New England. The article said the roast beef was cooked on premises and the sandwich looks delicious in the accompanying photo. In reality, the roast beef was mediocre and well-done. The bun was excellent however and is the sole reason it got three stars instead of fewer.
Small place with creative sandwiches. The french dip had a different name but it was pretty solid. There was a fried zucchini vegetarian special that was very tasty and the onion rings were top notch. They were even delicious as leftovers!
I bring all my friends here because the menu is simple, burgers are excellent, service is quick, and the prices are reasonable. The fries are also very tasty- thin cut with the skins on!
Really good, actually, much better than I expected. They have an extensive menu that is a wonderful balance between creative and classic. The staff was attentive and kind, and service was quick. Would highly recommend you have a meal here.
Disappointing. The Latin ALT had dry, stale-tasting bread and was overly salty. The hand cut fries were wilty and sad. Not going back.
Our go to place for sandwhiches. The sandwhiches are a bit expensive but the quantity is huge and delicious. Highly recommend this place.
During COVID I’ve found that there are restaurants that know how to prepare takeout and there are those who couldn’t care less. My biggest pet peeve is to order for a pick up at a certain time, finding when I arrive on time that my order has been sitting on the counter for quite a while. I’ve had this problem with All Star Sandwich quite often so I’ve gotten to arriving 15 minutes early for my pick up in the hopes that my meal would be coming out of the kitchen while I was there. The other night I ordered 2 of my favorite sandwiches for a 7:00 pm pick up with sauce on the side. I got there at 6:45 only to find my order ready and sitting in a bag on the counter. I told them how upsetting that was and got a shrug (like “this is the way we do it and who cares anyway”. When I got home a few minutes later the sandwich was pretty much inedible. It was soggy and cold. $33 wasted. My advice to All Star is figure out how to prepare fir takeout. What you’re doing now is unacceptable, even during COVID.
I am extremely disappointed at the service that I have received this past Thursday. I work in the neighborhood and I have a very restrictive diet so they’ve made me just a grilled chicken sandwich many times. This time when I called they said “we don’t do that”, but they offered me another grilled chicken sandwich and I said “sure but can you put nothing on it”. I picked up my order and when I got back to the office I realized the sandwich had everything on it. I called, they offered me a replacement sandwich or a refund and I asked for a refund because I did not time to go back. They said okay, and never got the refund. So then, I called back this past Monday and told them what happened and how I never got my refund. They said that the manager can do it, and if I don’t see a refund to call back again. I asked if they could call me back, so I would know whether or not they gave me a refund. They said sure, and never heard back and the refund still is not reflected on my card. This is so disappointing and I will be taking my business elsewhere.
