Their eggplant chicken sub never disappoints, so good. I get a hot sub from them nearly every week. I went in today to pick up my online order and something shocked me though. Instead of handing me my wrapped sandwich at the counter, she underhand tossed it to me from where she was standing. I understand they get very busy during lunch time but from a customer service standpoint, that one really caught me off guard. What if I had not caught it or what if my sandwich had been messed up from being tossed? Would they have remade it without issue? Just something that stood out to me and I feel like should not happen again....
I conistently trust Al's to provide me with a tasty, affordable, on-time lunch that never dissapoints. The staff are freindly and recognize me by face and name, even though it is a chain business in a busy part of Cambridge.I typically get the chicken salad with american cheese, lettuce and onions. I order ahead but if ordering in-person the line moves very quickly.The Kendall Square area is packed with "artesianal", "modern" options: they're not walking on water at Al's but they're a great deli with great affordable deli food
Great subs. Easy in and out lunch in Cambridge. Location is nice but the food is fantastic. Service is good. I suggest if you are in Kendall Square area.

2nd time that my order is not prep correctly, missing bacon. Order online or walk in don't make any difference because you will have to wait in line to get your online order.
