The food is good, which is why they get three stars, but the front of house is a mess. They rely on kiosk ordering which would be fine if they worked. One has no way to pay, and another is broken. As you can see from other reviews this is a problem that has persisted for months.The ketchup pump and water dispenser is also broken, also for months.The tables and floors are filthy.Do something Shake Shake, almost all the negative reviews are because you completely neglect your dinner room.
When this Shake shack opened it was awesome! Things are starting to slide now. Instead of music they have Law and order SVU playing, two of the ordering kiosks don't work, and they don't wash the lettuce. I've had the displeasure of biting into sand or dirt granules in my lettuce wrap.Everything else at this location is great! The food tastes good sans the sandy lettuce, the shakes are bomb and the staff is friendly, but the atmosphere is weird now and it looks ghetto to have broken kiosks for months.
My kids tried the chicken nuggets and couldn't eat them which is weird because they love almost all chicken nuggets. I tried them and they were terrible. Shakes and burgers were ok. They have kiosks to order from but 1 was missing the adapter for the credit card and another was out of order. They ran out of ketchup and place wasn't clean.
Don't waste your money here honestly. This site gives Shake Shack a bad name given that the service is terrible and the food subpar. On the service, we requested if the order placed with the cashier could change. He wanted a Double Shake Shack burger but the order had a Double Cheeseburger. Cashier honestly looked confused and was trying to figure out how to handle the situation given that I'm sure there was a cost difference but Jesus get it together - pretty sure you can be okay with making the double SS burger and eating the MINOR cost. Her response was that she would "ask". Well didn't get the Double Shake Shack burger and the customer was trumped over the individual that builds the burger. I ordered the shroom burger and it was cold, with a lovely tiny piece of lettuce that took up maybe less than 40% of the bun and my fries were cold. It was almost like my order sat for awhile while I waited for it. If you really want some Shake Shack (cause let's be real it's delicious) go to the one in Woburn. Far better service and way better quality food.
Located inside the Burlington mall, this is your typical Shake Shack. Staff is friendly, and food is typical of other Shacks. Nothing too exciting here, but you'll get some sustenance relatively quickly and be on your way.
Staff was less than friendly, I could hear personal conversations going on behind the counter, the kitchen was throwing our sandwiches on the tray, the fries were overdone, burgers were smashed flat and one was missing ingredients, dirty dining room, water turned off and ketchup empty left us with a less than par experience. We did not feel welcome there while we are. This has not been our experience at any other Shake Shack we have visited before in Boston, Cambridge, Chicago, NYC, CT, NJ etc. They should look into adult managers for this location on all shifts to ensure Shake Shack’s usual standard of quality and service.
My first time trying Shake Shack, and it was okay. The food didn’t disappoint, but I felt like the customer service could’ve been a little bit better, particularly with the supervisor running the registers. Regardless, I still enjoyed it, despite the wait. Hopefully the next time I eat here it will be slightly better.

Food is average and service is terrible. Very long wait and still my order was wrong. You have to get more than one meat patty in your burger or you will leave hungry. Extremely thin Pattie’s in buns that are too small for the meat. With all the people behind counter and at the grill food should come out a lot faster. It took 25 mins to get two burgers , fries and two drinks and when the order was called for pick up a burger was missing
