Absolutely recommend this gem to anyone who loves coffee and pancakes.it is a hidden gem of the beautiful town, reasonably priced and best quality of food. Staff is very friendly, we usually go with our kids to have breakfast, its clean and the service is fast.
This place is a little pricey but it serves a good meal. It feels very home-made. There isn’t many staff so it does take a while to prepare.
I discovered this cafe about a month ago and it’s absolutely one of my favorites. I’ve tried a ton of different coffees and foods and everything always comes out great! All the staff there are lovely and the environment is what I’d want out of a little cafe. The onlyyy reason it’s not getting 5 stars is because of how pricey literally everything on the menu is. Understanding the other locations are probably just as expensive though. I chose to drive very out of my way to go here the times I do but I would absolutely go there way more and make this my go-to coffee shop if the prices were better!
Finally tried this place & so happy I did. Got a vanilla latte that was nice & frothy, sweet but not a sugar load, made to perfection. Also got a bacon, egg & cheese on a bagel that was delicious, with a nicely cooked egg, done well & with a bit of softness in the yolk-really good. Just get your breakfast sandwiches here instead of the obscure a.m. food at the big chains that is just heated up from a package. So worth it.
I feel like the website and photos are a little misleading. It’s not very cozy on the inside and the eggs benedict were fried instead of poached with hollandaise and the price didn’t really reflect the quality that I received. It was good just not what I expected. I’d still try this spot again.
My favorite place !! My dad and I have been going here since we moved to Burlington !! We love the staff!! Super sweet and nice!! The coffee is top tier I would say, tried all the coffee shops in Boston, would say this is a top competitor !! Love getting the iced pumpkin lattes !!!
Best Turkey club I have ever had
I’m writing this review as a former member of the Blackbird and also as a warning about the position they’re offering. This job is a vaccination mandatory job even though they won’t tell you at first but once they’ll find out that you’re unvaccinated they’ll start acting inappropriately. The owner Luke Kenney would promise you lots of things he’ll ask for your presence in this zoom meetings where only he talks about how much he’s made in 3 months so far and what they expect from you but you shouldn’t expect anything back for your hard work or dedication. Throughout 7 years in the culinary industry I rate this job as the worse environment I’ve ever work for. Working for this company? Better reconsider!
On our way back to CT, we stopped into the cafe since they had the shortest wait time. I ordered our food, was waited by a very nice young man, and served when it was ready. I went back in to order one more sandwich for the road, when an older woman (I’m assuming is his mother) took my order. I gave her the same Cc I used earlier. I handed her my card, she looked at both sides, then asked for my ID. I showed it and sat down. As I sat there I wondered why she would ask for my card, why the young man hadn’t, and if she does this to everyone that walks in. Unfortunately, no one else came in to allow me to watch their interaction. Maybe she was curious as to where I was visiting from. Maybe she needed a name for the one, unfamiliar, black woman in her cafe. Maybe she thought I stole someone’s Cc to buy an $8 panini. Your guess is as good as mine.The food is bland without condiments. The smoothies aren’t even made with real fruit. Thankfully, we don’t live there to even consider going back.
We found this place when looking at the maps from our hotel. They seemed a little overwhelmed with the many online and in person orders but we still received our in person order promptly. Two French toast maple sausage breakfast sandwiches, a mango smoothie, and a hot matcha latte were all received promptly and tasted amazing. My boyfriend asked to go back again the next morning. Highly recommend!
