I love the food and the service. Just I have one issue. I bought a sub for 13.99. The sales tax in Massachusetts for food in 6.25%. I was charged 6.93% tax on the sub. I was charged extra money unnecessarily.

I work in the mall and frequent this sandwich shop. I have had the Italians, Steak & Cheese and their breakfast sandwiches. I avoid the steak & cheese now though, not enough cheese and not enough steak. The rolls also take some getting used to, don’t add much flavor to the subs as they are bland white rolls. They do grill them for their Stegg breakfast sandwich which is a favorite of mine. Besides the Steak & Cheese everything has been delicious.
Lobster roll is solid (though I wish you could order the buttered one hot?)Port (old bay) fries are waaaaaaaay too salty, to the point if almost being inedible (and this is coming from someone that loves salt and old bay…). Not an isolated thing either; have tried them a few different times.
Got avocado toast but instead it’s avocado spread. In picture it shows fresh avocado not spread and only 1 slice of toast. Not worth it.
The bread is AMAZING, if you want a good cheesesteak this is the spot!
Fantastic sandwich shop! Staff just like everyone in Portsmouth are ready to do business. Friendly and great to interact with.
Sandwich was passable. To be honest the steak sandwich was overhyped, service was ok, got the order wrong. Better steak subs elsewhere.
