Great selection of wine and whiskey! Fresh locally sourced ingredients were used for the variety of apps and entrees we tried. We enjoyed everything so much! The Tavern has a 'local' vibe and the staff was very courteous.
We had the pleasure of dining at the Washington Square Tavern in Brookline MA. The entire experience was sensational. We started with the flavorful clam chowder and the roasted beet salad. Both appetizers were delicious. For our entrées we went with the Seafood Fra Diavolo. Fresh linguini, shrimp,cls,mussels and spicy shrimp. Out of this world. And the Grilled Berkshire Pork Chop with cheddar grits, greenpeas and honey balsamic figs. The best pork chop I've ever had. We finished with after dinner drinks. The food was fresh and very plentiful. The service was fantastic and we had the pleasure of chatting it up with the owners Gerry and Alma. Wonderful people!
Always a good experience here, a very cosy pub atmosphere with a great beer selection. Their food is awesome and is definitely not pub grub! They usually have specials as well, the tuna was fantastic. They have heated outdoor seating as well through the winter with plenty of heaters, we will be back to sit outside!
Located centrally in Washington Square. Excellent well hearted patio. We ordered Burrata, octopus, and gnocchi dishes and hot Toddy cocktails. Perfect for the weather. The stuff is supper helpful and attentive.

We got there late so service was a little slow but the drinks are great. They just got 3 Floyd's Zombie Dust on tap!
Excellent food atmosphere and service. Party of 9 easily accommodated. I ha chowder and crab cakes, so good. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Will gobackagsin and again!
A 5 star would be a low end rating…this restaurant deserves nothing but a 10 star! Our first stop once we arrive in Boston! The food, the ambience, the staff, the knowledge of wines from all over the world and the selections are second to none! The food is consistently spectacular; from simplicity to exquisite, top chef, Luis is phenomenal creating daily dish specials that keeps you coming back! Thank you Jerry and Alma for a wonderful inviting neighborhood restaurant, that welcomes those near and far! ?
