We are staying at a friend's house near the Stoked Washington Square location and grabbed a sausage and onion pizza along with a side of sauteed brussels sprouts for dinner. We loved it! The sprouts were marvelously seasoned, with crispy bacon and shallots, and the pizza was perfect: savory sausage, tender onions, a great marinara sauce and chewy, well-baked crust. The icing on the cake was the little waxed-paper bag with 4 bite-size pieces of perfectly-executed rice krispy treats inside. They were the greatest sweet end to a satisfying and tasty meal. Thanks for making our trip to Boston brighter, Stoked! Would recommend this place to anyone in the area.
Stoked Wood serves its kind of pizza with interesting twists that separate it from others. Hot honey and pepperoni is the best example to try first, and then you can decide if you will stay or leave. There are other options but the folks there when we visited were only into pizza and drinks. Not very big, so prepare for a wait.
You can never go wrong with a wood fire pizza. The service was great and we were seated quickly. One wish I had was the chicken having a bit more seasoning/flavor, but overall the pizza was great!
Had a fantastic meal with my partner who is vegan. Our server was very attentive. When we left te restaurant I saw our waiter sprinting towards me. He had found my phone and was returning it to me. Excellent service and food. Their aloha fries will make me vegan for sure.
Just moved to the area and have gone to stoked twice. Pizza here is focused on small high end wood fired pies. The crust is a little softer than you might expect but has the appropriate amount of chewiness. I've only opted for pies with toppings so far. The meats are high quality and satisfying. My only complaint is that they don't offer pies in sizes larger than 12''. It's not the best pizza place for feeding large groups; a hungry adult can polish off a 20$ pie easily.
It is a good Pizza place in Brookline normally crowded. The wait time is around 30 minutes minimum. The crust is crispy but not hard to chew, not much of sauce. It is wood fired preparation with perfect cook and taste. Pricewise, they are costly by 40% as compared to famous pizza chain, Costco, Wholefood and other local restaurants. But, the overall satisfaction is there after eating with taste and pleasure. We ordered for takeout the following on Thursday – the last day of March 2022: One starter - Jalapeno Popper Fries 12: aged cheddar & cream Cheese, MAse queso, banana peppers, jalapenos – vegetarian option with no bacon Four 12inch Pizza with tomato sauce as below: Cheese 16: Fresh and aged mozzarella, pecorino romano – 1 No. Veggie 18: Green peppers, local crimini mushrooms, caramelized onions, mozzarella, pecorino – 1 No. Buffalo Chicken 18: gorgonzola, mozzarella, buttermilk ranch, buffalo sauce – 1 No. New York White 17: garlic, ricotta, fresh and aged mozzarella, oregano, pecorino romano Would love to order again.
Bad experience yesterday !I ordered online at 5:15pm for pick up at 6:30pm ! I arrived at the restaurant at 6:20. I waited 50 minutes to get a pizza and 2 entrees from the kitchen.Apparently, no coordination between the wood fire oven and the kitchen. The pizza was warm but the entrees were cold. Seems like there was a 15 min gap between food preparation !Disappointing because food is really good !
I don’t like to leave bad reviews, however the pizza I ordered just ruined my Friday night. It’s burnt and dry and hard like a rock. Not sure if that’s supposed to be?? It’s my first time order from here, and I had a high expectation given all the good reviews. Very disappointed.
Pizzas are amazing, the dough is the tastiest around. We had the cheeseburger pizza and the Cauliflower bites. Both were delicious. Service is always friendly and efficient.
I’m a professional eater and I’ve tried pizza all over Italy and the US. This is the best pizza hands up you will ever eat. The moment you see it you’re having an affair and don’t want to share. A perfectly cooked (but not overdone) lightly-salted crust stays crisp with a delicate, focaccia-like taste that melts in the mouth. Mine was pepperoni, green pepper and caramelized onion that tasted like bacon crumble (maybe my imagination?), and looked like a $40 pizza from some overpriced 4-star restaurants in Paris. A bargain at $20 for a 12 incher. You will eat half the pizza of a mediocre pie, and this pizza is amazing for breakfast. The pie in the sky. ?????
