Food has gone downhill as has service. They were happy to take my $ for a gift card promo and then told me it was expired and would not honor it. The woman at the register was rude. We used to eat her all the time as our local place prior to change of hand and loved it. Would not go back or recommend. Would recommend, rather, Dumpling House.
I was referred to Mandarin Gourmet by a friend. He raved about how great the food was, so I decided to check it out after work. I entered the restaurant and simply asked the petite, short haired woman at the desk if they offered combination plates after 3p.m.. She rudely replied no. She seemed to be annoyed by my question. I agree with the numerous negative reviews. Spend your money somewhere a bit more hospitable. Maybe she was mad that the restaurant was empty. I wonder why.?
Service was decent but food was mediocre and bland. Drink was not good, kind of watered down and of course they couldn't give me a new one. Don't hate the place but definitely had better.
This used to be one of my favorite Chinese restaurants. Not anymore. Last few times I got takeout it was very disappointing. Dry flavorless rice. The Szechuan pork I ordered had 4 tiny slivers of pork and the rest was mixed vegetables. For $12 I feel I got completely ripped off.
This restaurant used to be friendly and welcoming. That went away under new owners and management. The manager with the short crew cut shouldnt be in the hospitality business. Not friendly at all..The prices went up, the quality, flavor and portions went down. The drink menu sucks too. $10 for a glass of fruit juice. No liquor. If it isn't broke, don't try to fix it. Ruined !!!Try Bernard's in Chestnut Hill plaza
Excellent service and professional staffs. Owner are friendly. Awesome foods and the place are super clean
good. great prices. wonderful service
Terrible customer interaction - my take out order was all wrong - they told me to come back and they would replace - I told them I live 25 minutes away, so not about to drive 50 minutes. They repeatedly tell me a manager will call never does. I call and they tell me no manager is available- when I was in the area I stopped in and asked for the manager. Guess what - none was in that day. For small money it’s not a big deal. It’s that this is just being blown off.
Completed 2-12 hour shifts this evening at a Boston Hospital and ordered take out food on my drive home. Will NEVER be back!! Order of chik fingers, pork- fried rice, Peking ravioli. $33.00.Given literally less than 2 Oz of sweet sauce. I asked for another container. The stone- faced manager asked for $ .50. I was appalled! Seriously?! This is a pandemic! Count your blessings. Be kind to your fellow man. I just spent $33.00 in your establishment, and was not given near enough sauce. You insulted me. Show a little kindness. Merry Christmas.
My first time placing an order here. I ordered broccoli with garlic sauce and I specifically asked for no mushrooms (and the last time I checked mushrooms are a type of fungus) I was Not asking for my money back I just requested the remake the order but instead she refused and said it’s my fault for not specifically saying No FUNGUS. I didn’t know I had to say no fungus I’ve called it mushrooms in the past and other restaurants understand but this one is ridiculous I will never recommend them and it was my first and last plus the string beans were not made correctly either. I paid for an online order and requested my money back since they are not sensitive or understanding. I also understand why they do not pick up their phone when you call after your order is done. I called three times and no one answered.
