I was excited to bring my 13 yo daughter for lunch here as part of our mommy and daughter date. The food was good, service was okay right up until I was about to pack my leftovers to go. I showed the waitress a fly in my food. She told me the fly must’ve landed on my plate when I went to the bathroom. Offered to pick it out before she packed my food! I declined. No apologies or alternative was offered. She simply brought out my bill and walked off.
I have been eating at this restaurant for a decade. The food is outstanding, fresh, and prepared with the most magic blending of spices. Truly authentic tastes and inventive dishes are to be found. The real secret sleeper on the menu is the Tom Yum soup, perhaps the best I have had anywhere including Thailand. The owner is such a wonderful lady and always takes time to chat. I recommend this restaurant to anyone it is my personal favorite
This looks like not much of a restaurant but the food is delicious and authentic. The only onscreen we have found where the flavors are as fresh and complex as the food in Thailand. Wait staff is nice too and it’s a real bargain especially given the quality. Try the steamed fish with lemon and chili, the bbq pork and chicken, the masaman curry, the soom tam papaya salad, the drunken noodles are not classic Thai but they are great too. Sticky rice and fresh mango are awesome too.
I was very impressed w/ the wonderful Thai food here (i.e. Chicken Satay & Chicken Massaman Curry, respectively) which sure brings back fond memories of my CHAI glory days @ Dexter PK in Brookline.Beth
Dok Bua Thai Kitchen was a great find! I ordered takeout for some folks at the office this week and we all really enjoyed it. The food was hot and packed beautifully, and every dish was really tasty! I especially loved how crispy the spring rolls were. Food pictured:1) Pad Thai Noodle with Chicken2) Scallion Pancakes3) Crispy Thai Spring RollsNot pictured are the excited expressions on all of my coworkers’ faces when the came into the break room and smelled what was for lunch. 100% would recommend!
this might be a one off thing that doesn’t happen often but they were grinding or blending food in the kitchen so loudly. like why can’t you do loud food prepping when there aren’t customers??
There are two menus; standard and specials. I ordered off the specials. On both menus there are many vegetarian options. For approximately $13, I had a platter that included vegetable and tofu curry, spring roll, rice, and soup. The portions are on the smaller side when you order the platter, and the quality was good. I hope to return and order off the standard menu to see the portion and quality. The service was excellent and friendly.
