I had an amazing experience in this place.Their food is amazing, fresh and aways test with and Original Italian Flavor. The products they have in the shelfs are outstanding and my wife and I love to cook with the products they have in there.Im a regular costumer and supper recommend this place...
Good taste for a place with so many options. We both got the tortellini. Complimentary bread was nice. Obviously not the same as a 5-star authentic Italian restaurant, but we still enjoyed it and would go back.
The penne pasta was either over cooked or something but it was really thick. I’m disappointed because we were looking forward to this place because of the pictures.
I really like the food, I got the fettuccine Andrea. The service was quick and the atmosphere was quaint and calm. They appeared to make the food fresh and my meal was a type of sauce I had never had but that really suited my taste. It wasn't until I got to the bottom of my plate that I found two pieces of hard melted plastic. Unfortunately I only noticed after acidentally wrapping them in a bite of fettuccine and taking a bite. So I did have to spit out my food into a napkin. After the first one I wasn't sure what to think to so I took another bite and there was the second piece of plastic. At that point I thought "better stop eating, who knows how many are in there". I really wish things had gone better, since the pasta was actually very good, which is why it is 3 stars and not 1 .
Like the decor but every time I come, don’t find the food to be particularly well made, especially the texture of noodles/rice, not well seasoned, always reminded me of airplane food. You can tell they were prepared in large batch and reheated to sell for a few days. Their boutique section are quite overpriced, and the comparison is against Eataly. Under a certain amount, they can only accept cash.In reply to the owner’s comment, thank you for taking the time to read my review and leave a feedback, however, each of us are entitled to our own opinions, it’s probably not the best PR to negate points made in a review.I’d like to think I don’t have bias against the store, that’s why after a few slightly disappointing visits, I still go at times and left a 3 stars review, which if just based on food quality will probably be 1-2 stars. Quality is evaluated on quality alone and have nothing to do with how long the business has been in existence. It’s not wrong to have high prices for things you can’t find in regular grocery stores, especially given the owner’s time to find the things and curate a selection, it’s probably not fair of me to compare it against Eataly as they can likely buy in lower wholesale prices. It’s also not wrong for a customer to have an opinion that they’re overpriced, the argument that prices are clearly labeled is not much help here as most places are as so, even in the smaller Italian boutiques in the North End.In the end, it’s indeed a customer’s choice to buy or not to buy and after reading the owner’s reply, there’s no doubt I’ll choose not to buy nor recommend people to shop here as contrary to what the owner stated, you can find almost everything they sell in other places in the city, sometimes even Whole Foods or the same type of food made by Trader Joe’s, which is just a few blocks away, likely with a longer expiration date.
Decently priced Italian food, limited seating
Imagine if Starbucks or McDonalds started trying to do Italian food. Bottega Fiorentina is worse. The bruschetta was just a piece of hard bread that tasted like it was starting to mold with tomatoes on it. The pastas weren't much better. The salad seemed fresh and the anchovies were fine but the dressing ruined the salad. The menu makes the food sound amazing but the finished product tastes canned even though I understand it's not. I recommend cooking at home or eating anywhere else.
Nice customer service, clean and friendly environment. Food is delicious
Panini was just ok. With a name like Bottega Fiorentina, the Focaccia should be crunchy and buttery, the Mozzarella should be fluffy.
Very good Italian pasta. The chicken parmigiana was so good. The parts with tomato sauce was very tasteful. The cannolis for $1 were soooo good. Honestly would come back and fully recommend if you like Italian styled cuisine.
