Food was good, but the atmosphere was lacking, firstly I had to ask for silverware and a plate..I got plastic silverware and paper napkins...the waitress attitude was lacking. Lastly the coconut shrimp, was not coconut shrimp, it was shrimp with coconut thrown on it. The menu is good and the prices are up there..so I didn't expect plastic. I'm from out of town so I was visiting and this not what I was expecting.

I first tried ZaZ on May 6th having a post birthday lunch with some friends and it was delish! My entree I picked was the Spicy Ginger Teriyaki Salmon. The entrees come with your choice of two sides. I choose the Thai Basil Fried Rice and Plaintains. Everything tasted great well seasoned, not to spicy & great presentation! The customer service was just as great! I will definitely come back to try more food and drinks!

My family and I went for the Mother’s Day brunch and this place is by far one of the BEST restaurants from food to service/hospitality, I have frequented in some time!!!! EVERYTHING we ordered from appetizers to drinks was absolutely delicious!!!! On top all it all our server “Nicola”, was so wonderful and welcoming!!!! There was a Great DJ! The atmosphere is cozy and intimate. We will definitely be coming back! If you like good food , you need to try ZAZ! It does not disappoint!!!!!!

This is one of Boston’s hidden gems. The food Lick my fingers good. Great atmosphere when dining in and the takeout is always good. I even meal prep and that week I eat good. I also tried their catering option and their stuff was so friendly when they deliver the food and everyone love the food.( picture inserted below). Salmon dish with lo Mein is by far my favorite meal. They have great vegetarian options. There’s something here for everyone. Did I mention their black owned. The only reason why I didn’t give it five stars is they’re not consistent with the side sauce that they add with every meal sometimes they added it sometimes they don’t. The Sauce is bomb.

EVERYTHING was delicious!! The hush puppies were definitely our favorite but overall the food was very flavorful and everything had a very nice presentation. The owner is super nice and very professional and Jess was the best host !! If you’re in Boston you have to try zaz if you’re not I promise you it’s worth the trip !!

Well I arrived and was seated right away and I wasn't feeling the table I was sat at. The table was so wobbly and so tiny. Things barely fit on it. We were given plastic fork set with one small napkin. But given regular plates I was a little confused about that. The salmon hush puppies were amazing with this great dipping sauce. That is the only reason I'm giving 2 stars. I got shrimp and grits was the worst I ever had. Soupy grits with absolutely no salt. It had no flavor whatsoever. The salad looked great my friend got I regretted not getting one like she did. The basil Thai rice was disgusting did not taste anything like basil fried rice. I'm sorry to write a review like this. I just got to be honest

Food was ok. Took over an hour to get waffles & chicken tenders. The tenders were very bland no seasoning at all. The seafood sliders were tasty. Service was off. My original server ignored us entire time. Other employees checked in on occasion. Best thing was the DJ. Not sure I'll be returning. Not the best 1st impression.

Good food good people good service good music. Tight location but definitely worth it. You have to try and find a parking spot but if you park a block of two away it's definitely worth the walk. Food comes out on time food is hot fresh and ready to eat

The entrance has kind of a speakeasy feel. You don't actually see the dining room at all, there's just the host counter. I was a little confused about whether I was in the right place, but then they take you through this little corridor and suddenly you're in a dining room. A cool touch - walking into the room feels like someone's letting you in on a secret. Tables are spread apart, which I appreciate. They've got a little lounge-looking area in the back that looks like it would be great for private parties. It's definitely not fancy: plastic silverware, paper napkins, and we didn't see much of the waitstaff (I think they were very busy with takeout orders out front), but the food was awesome. The jerk salmon burger came very highly recommended by a friend and lived up to the hype. My husband was really happy with his dinner as well. Do not leave this place without a coconut slush. I'm looking forward to coming back and trying more things.... And drinking more slushes!

It was ok this time , it is usually five star but the hostess tried to have us pay for extra shrimp and it took almost 45mins for our order. The fish sandwich had too much going on, we will try something else next time
