You must have a reservation or plan on a long wait. The atmosphere was pretty darn casual. Most of the men, including myself, were in shorts and a tee shirt. We were seated in the basement, which wasn't the greatest, but I wasn't there to see and be seen. Service was fairly decent and the food came out quickly. Portions are a good size and the drinks were pretty cheap. I had a Maker's Mark for $12.00 Lots of places in Boston charge nearly double. Food comes in a no frills saute pan or kitchen pot. So they probably bring it straight from the stove. You can order a few things family style which is what I would recommend. Overall, I thought it was a nice low priced option if you want a sit down meal.

4 out of 4 great meals. Sea bass, spaghetti, pene puttanesca all fresh - hot off the grill. Great service and phenomenal atmosphere in North End Boston

The hostess held the door for us upon entering. We were seated early for our reservation. Great start! As we walked through the traditional Italian style bar and dining room, we were taking downstairs to our section. The lighting was dimmed and all the tables set perfectly. We were greeted promptly and kindly by our amazing server Guillermo. The apps came out hot and timely, the entrees timed so we didn’t feel rushed. We had the calamari and zucchini flowers and highly recommend them. For entrees we had Cacio & Pepe, Gnocchi all Sorrentina, and the Ravioli di Ricotta. Fantastic traditional Italian dishes. The wife had a Pinot Grigio and a Chianti. Stellar experience from start to finish. I spent 15 years running restaurants so it was great to see all the team work. Everyone picked up empty cup and plates as well as check on water levels. Thanks Guillermo and team!

Offers authentic Italian dishes, all of which are absolutely phenomenal. It's dark lit and moody with several smaller dining rooms (typical in this part of town). Servers are knowledgable, wine list is expansive, and they know how to make a martini. Favorites include: Shrimp al Limoncello, Pepata di Cozze, Lobster Fra Diavolo, and Octopus Salad.

We were in Boston for a few days and asked our niece for a good place to meet her for lunch (she is in graduate school in Cambridge). She said she and her parents have eaten here and enjoyed it, so we booked a lunch reservation on OpenTable. We were seated outdoors on a lovely day and enjoyed our chianti, bread and olive oil, and entrees of penne and gnocchi. Someone told me much later that the North End used to not have as much outdoor dining but all that changed during COVID. We thought dining on the sidewalk was a lovely experience. Definitely recommended.

Italian food has always been one of my favorites. My friend from Italy brought me here and pointed out that this was an authentic Italian place, and that it was the closest I could find here in the US. Everything was fantastic and very tasty.

Family dinner while on vacation in Boston. Everything was well prepared and delicious!

Excellent food and service -even if they we’re slammed. They gotten very popular -it was very crowded-lost some of the ambiance. Somewhat like a cafeteria except they bring you your food. Best comment. I’ll go back!

It was ok. Food was ehhh. Waitor had no personality. Bathrooms were dirty- paper towels and toilet paper everywhere. Just ok. Probably wouldn't go back for a while.

Food was over priced. id be okay with that if the food was good and the portion wasn't a small handful of pasta.
