We selected three mains each which came with two sides. I loved the pork burnt ends, fries and the brisket. The sauces gave a great additional flavour. The ribs seemed really bland, the sausage had some weird yellow goop on it, and didn’t really like the smokiness of the sausage, the Mac and cheese was just ok, it was missing the crispy cheesy topping. Not bad but wouldn’t rush back.
Amazing food and service!
EXCELLENT FOOD & SERVICE ????
Superb quality of bbq in Boston. The ribs and pulled pork were good. Came to visit this restaurant twice during my trip. Service was fantastic. The draft beers were good. Will be back for sure. There are branches of this across Boston I understand. Good for kids during lunch.
Absolutely awesome from the brisket to the ribs. And the best statement I can make is the service given to us and every detail. Nina was absolutely fantastic and beyond words and Fred who happens to be the manager was just beyond terrific from his greetings to his helpfulness and professionalism. We will be back and can't say enough for the positive atmosphere delivered at The smoke Shop. The highest recommendation from Spooky Express
We were visiting Boston; staying close to Assembly Row. We wanted to eat somewhere close with good quality. The table was dirty; definitely had not been cleaned properly, The waitress was very nice; the food was ok; nothing to write home about. Pricey for what we got. I wouldn’t go back unfortunately,
Great flavors, good service…
As I’m visiting Boston, my boy Todd and his sister Kylie took me to a BBQ spot in the Seaport District of Boston called The Smoke Shop. Now I’ve been to Texas before and I always get skeptical when I try BBQ outside of Texas so my expectations were low before we went in. Let me tell you, that changed real quick. We started with the famous wings and I was truly stunned. They were stupendous. Of course I had the fried chicken sandwich and I was surprised as well. It was delicious. The onion, lettuce and tomato complimented the fried chicken. Shout out Andy Husbands for establishing this great spot. Shout out our waiter Rodolfo. Highly recommend.
The ribs were excellent - tender but firm, pulled cleanly off the bone with each bite. Great smoky flavor with a nice tang from the glaze. And the collard greens were also great - a little heat and sour. Service was friendly and we got right in on a weeknight. Boston BBQ - who knew?
We had dinner - Pulled Pork & Brisket. As good as it gets in New England for BBQ. The staff and service were tops. Dinner for two (including whiskey) $81. We will return.
