Excellent Irish service ?
A great place to visit in Boston!
We had a great time at The Point - great location - live music, good beer - and the bartenders were awesome ! I ordered a beer - the bartender wasn't sure what I wanted - so brought me out 3 sample to see which one I wanted
We went here last Friday, and had a very strange interaction with an employee. We were asked for our drink orders, and someone in our party ordered a glass of Pinot Grigio. Not an off-the-wall request, but the server went into a long story about how he’s had a past customer order some type of wine, and how they “aren’t that kind of establishment, it’s either red or white.” Then he proceeded to ask what she wanted…she again requested Pinot. Lo-and-behold, guess what they have? Pinot (on a normal day - they came back and said they were out but had two other mainstream options like Chardonnay). I don’t know why there was so much judgment for a simple ask of something they actually carry.I’m only giving two stars because service was fast and everyone else we interacted with was pleasant. The first encounter just made me not want to return to this “establishment” when there are other similar options nearby.
I unfortunately had a terrible experience. for a brunch they ran out of food for extended periods of time where customers had to share small pancakes. some of the staff made comments to other customers that if they had not taken “3 feet piles of food there wouldn’t be a shortage.” the restaurant also advertised mimosas and champagne and didn’t have any champagne. the staff was extremely rude except for one of the upstairs bartenders. I witnessed what I heard to be the owner violently grab a drink out of some girls hand which was really hard to watch. I won’t be going back which is such a bummer because I had a great time watching the drag queens at brunch!
A great fun place for a solo night or a group of friends bonding and meeting new friends. Food selection is great bar food and drinks made good. Very down-to-earth staff and great live music. Highly recommend it to anyone visiting or living in the Boston area.
I’m giving 1 star for their sleazy business practices. Having a cover charge when there’s a paid event or band is totally acceptable, but this place charges you JUST to enter. Nothing was going on. They also charged me 10.50 for one shot of Jameson and it was in a condiment cup. Airport bars don’t even charge that kind of price for a shot from a $30 bottle of liquor. So not only are they cheap about ordering proper cup wear but they’ll also rob you. Bartenders were smug and thought they were above everyone else, clearly talking trash about patrons, pointing and glaring at you in the process. Made it so obvious, and they still charge an automatic 20% gratuity yet they can just be trashy service people to patrons? Sleazy business with pathetic bartenders.
A truly bizarre and violently run bar. I had visited six years ago and vowed never to return, but the spot was empty and looked inviting (it does have a beautiful inviting facade). The staff was upset due to a snowstorm and had no customers! The spot is poorly managed as I had no service and saw no staff for 15 minutes (i asked about it amd was asked to leave) the food was cold per the few customers around me, they where bashing their ownership and the staff from the night before for not cleaning nor setting up prior. EVEN THOUGH BOSTON HAD A BLIZZARD. On and on.For your wallet, happiness, and safety, please avoid this spot. There's nothing good there. Terrible service and bad food. DANGEROUS & AVOID.
All ages, good music, several tv’s, all sports. Nachos were served on a pizza tray! Cold beer. Totally worth it! Great staff!!
Definitely out standing service and food. Enjoyed my stop at this place while I visited Boston. Keep up the good work folks
