Everything we ordered came within minutes and quality was perfect, some of the best seafood ? we’ve ever had all three of us left happy and will definitely return anytime we are in Boston

great food, good service

We were told that The Barking Crab is the best in Boston and it certainlly was in our case. we were seated quickly and staff was very attentive. i had fish ta os and my wife had crab. both out meals were great. Highly recommend but come earlier than you plan because it is that busy.

The New England clam chowder is amazing, as is the lobster roll.

The only thing I take with me it's the experience of eating at this well-known restaurant, other than that I won't come back to this place again. One of the waiters told me that everything prepared in this restaurant was local and delicious. I try the New England Clambake, which supposed to be good.In the menu says that it includes lobster, clams, corn on the cob, potato and salad. Well, it came with everything but with one tiny potato, a very small portion of salad and one small slice of lemon. Apparently this it is enough for one person, except for the tiny potato and the salad. But, my surprise was that when I was about to eat it I realised that it was cold, the only ingredient that came warm was the corn, all the rest was cold. I don't know if it was cooked hours before and then, before bring it to my table, it was soaked in water to make it look like it was cooked in that moment. And I ended up disappointed after noticing that all the utensils, plates, cups and bowls are mainly plastic or paper material. Which means that everything in this restaurant goes to the garbage. Nothing is reusable. If I would have known about this before I wouldn't have come. No matter it is listed as one of the favourites in Boston. It is not worthy, plus it is way too pricey.

food was very expensive and definitely not worth the price. It was probably the most disappointing plate of fish and chips I ever ate

Great location & atmosphere. Seasonal drink specials. Food delicious. Lobster rolls may be the best I ever tasted. Party atmosphere.

I don’t actually know where to start - Its a place living off location The staff are not friendly and just plain rude The place tries for “beach shack sheik”, but is just a bit grim (the restrooms even worse) Uncomfortable chairs, plastic cutlery, plastic glasses, paper plates !!! If you just want a sandwich and a beer it’s probably not bad, but a good restaurant it is not. - It closed at 9, and didn’t you know it - staff started moving supplies around, all the lights came on like a bad nighclub and we were presented with the cheque before we had even finished.

A thoroughly terrible dining experience. The serving staff were rude throughout the evening and the food was of mixed quality ranging from sub-par to "ok" however the price of the food was consistently over-priced. I feel like I have wasted not only a significant amount of money but also my time given the abundance of good restaurants in Boston I could have experienced instead. Would definitely not recommend.

Came here on a whim while looking for a lobster roll place in Seaport. The place was already half full in late afternoon on Monday, but we were fortunate to grab one of the window side tables with a great view of the harbor. My friend and I got the barking crab roll, naked lobster roll, fried clams, and some fresh oysters, and everything was decent. With a lot of tourists in the area, I knew this would be a tourist trap, but the overall food quality wasn’t too bad. The oysters were similar to what you would get in other places, and I enjoyed the crab roll. However, the toasted buns were quite disappointing and the fried clams were far below my expectations. Everything was certainly overpriced for the quality, but the barking crab roll was worth a try.Would recommend going here for the good views and vibes, but food may be slightly disappointing for the price.
