I heard so much hype about this place, so it’s sad to say it was a let down. I went when there was no line, so service was very quick, which was nice! I ordered the choco-lit, aka the number two. The inside is super small though. The main issue was that the ice cream was melting by the time it was served. I went outside because there’s no seating and was met with humidity that melted my ice cream right off the cone, and wind that blew the chocolate dust away. Okay, but the weather is definitely not their fault, just make sure to eat quickly :) Overall the ice cream okay, just average soft serve, but I couldn’t taste the custard, and the cone got soggy and started to fall apart. Given the price and experience, and neither memorable customers service or product, I say save your money.
The fish shaped cones are adorable and delicious! We got the red bean paste filled one and I loved it! Everything looked adorable and the soft-serve was delicious. I got strawberry ice cream and the unicorn sprinkles were so cute with it.
Loved this place. The ice cream is very rich and has a super smooth and velvety texture. We tried the Matcha... really great. Presentation nicely done. A bit pricey but doesn't seem to deter anyone. Can see problems with execution, delays when it's super busy... the place is tiny. SO GOOD though.
The warm, fluffy, and soft fish shaped ice cream cones are unbelievably good. Add on soft serve ice cream and you’ll have one of the best ice cream cones you’ve ever had.
Tried the lemon strawberry and it wasn't as creamy as I was expecting. The fish waffle was great though and the presentation and price was nice.I went to the shop at around 2pm and upon my walk back around 8:30pm there was still a line so expect to be in a line Friday's, Saturdays, and Sundays
Fresh & crispy Taiyaki. Love it ?
On our first night in Boston, my family and I stopped here for dessert on the way back from dinner. On our way to dinner, we noticed the long line out in front of the storefront. Very popular place...and understandably so. Thankfully, as we walked back to our hotel after dinner, after 9pm, we found the line much smaller. The inside space is very small and they tried to limit the number of people who were inside. After waiting for just a few minutes, we were in and soon came out with two wonderful frozen concoctions served in their fish-shaped taiyaki "shells". We got a chocolate and a matcha and happily shared them between the three of us as we made our way back to our hotel. Delicious!
All the ice cream is very good we've gone there several times and the little waffle type of fish cone that you get is really soft and you have to eat it quickly because it's warm in an ice cream melts.
Modern twist on traditional Japanese ice cream flavor combinations. I had to make a visit to the seaport after hearing that the tiktok famous fish cone ice cream ?? had found a home in Boston.Albeit a bit late to the trend, I needed to try it out for myself. The area where the store is located is under construction currently making it difficult to see signage if you are unaware of where to go. The store itself was quite small (less than a 12x4’ space to host the eager line of customers) and looked like it was also undergoing some renovations or construction ? which made it even more so confusing to see if they were open. After taking a look at the menu of prefixed options, I had decided to make my own as I was looking for a more simple option. The ordering format making your own has you choose a base Japanese style ice cream, cup/ traditional cone/ taiyaki fish cone (red bean paste or custard filling), and toppings. I opted for a custard filled fish cone, vanilla ice cream and the Oreo dust. We also tried a more traditional variety of the matcha and red bean paste filled taiyaki cone. As having more a western palate we found the matcha and the red bean paste to be quite bitter and would recommend getting something a bit sweeter if this sounds like you.The ice cream itself has a much creamier consistency than I was expecting (almost like they make it with condensed milk- confirm? ?) and the fish cone came out properly toasty.Over 4/5 ⭐️ for delicious quality food, flexible options, a range is diverse flavors and toppings, and for creating a fun and memorable alternative to my usual late night treats.
Usually a line, but sometimes you can hit it just right and walk right in. The ice cream is good and the cones are amazing, cute and take like a waffle. So cute and a huge hit with kids!
