The food was amazing! The shrimp was probably the best I ever had. Our waitress was fantastic. I would highly recommend.
My friends and I enjoyed our food here to the max. My friends came from Lowell to Boston for a visit and we wanted to be somewhere that has good food and drink and cozy seating. This bar restaurant checked them all. Our server Pablo was extremely helpful and even allowed me to order something from kid menu (Mac and Cheese) and also let me taste two of the drinks before ordering. He was very cooperative and polite. Will come back again and highly suggest this place for enjoyable friends and family gathering.
Butter lobster roll is the best. The cold lobster roll has a great smell of seafood. However, if you are not too into seafood, the cold roll may not be your best option. ? is a perfect combination for lobster. The oyster evaluation:Dennis 10/10 Tiny but has everything you expect from a oyster. Sweet and smooth in your tongue. For the rest oyster evaluation plz check picture 3.
Superb food and service. I've had the fish and chips, raw oysters, clam chowder, ice cream, and they are all great. Nice ambience and comfortable seating.
We were walking around the Prudential area and came upon the Summer Shack. It had good reviews on TripAdvisor so we gave it a try. Staff was very friendly. We sat in the bar area and the bartenders were fun and attentive. Summer Shack features 7-8 varieties of fresh local oysters each day. Bartenders’ favorites are Sharpshooter and South Bay Blonde, a Summer Shack exclusive. We were looking for a light meal so we tried the cornbread with molasses butter, crab cakes, and clam chowder. The crab cakes were excellent, chowder very good, and cornbread was ok. We’re from the south and have high expectations for cornbread. Interesting desserts which we were too full to try - strawberry rhubarb pie, blueberry pie and brownie Sunday. Very fun vibe and great service.
We went all out at summer shack. We got 60 oysters for 6 people. You can’t go wrong with the oysters from Martha’s Vineyard. I like mine creamy with a sweet ending. The oysters they served here are fresh with of course reasonable price. It was an amazing start to our meal. We also orders the Clam spaghetti. We didn’t have much expectations for it but it was the perfect amount of sauce, al dente pasta, and much better than a lot of seafood pasta out there! For our mains we got a pound of lobster each. It was exactly what we were hoping for. Meaty super tender and juicy especially the tail - omg they boiled it to perfection. No tools needed to pull the tail out it just slips out effortlessly. PERFECTION. We also got one lobster with eggs inside and asked the manager if they could cook it for us. He surprised us with a lobster egg chowder and mentioned it’s their first time serving this to customers! We had such a great night!
This is a local - non tourist spot. Quintessential Boston/New England at it's best. Dinning with a party of five (5). All were pleased. The food and service were great. This will be one of my go too places when I am in the area.
All the seafood!
The oysters here were SO amazing, so fresh, I got 2 rounds of each type they had and then 3 more of a few I really liked.3.25/per oyster - not bad considering the quality.I also ordered their roasted potatoes which were on point - not too soggy, not too crispy, the perfect amount of salt and seasoning and not dry at all. Also, as BUSY as it was (went on boston marathon day), our waiter was SO attentive: he refilled our waters, took additional orders when we needed, etc., , basically made sure we were taken care of and was very kind.If you’re looking for a dim-lit, live music with a full service bar, and lively, rowdy vibe, look no further.
Delicious fresh oysters and loved my crab cake! Met Jasper White before. I’ve always loved Summer Shack. Thank you! ?❤️??♀️ musicmermaid.com
