Great shop ,good service ??☘️
The food was great ! The bartender was great ! The atmosphere was great ! It was way overpriced.... 75 $ 2 people for lunch and a couple of bud lights...
Visiting from the UK and wanted an Irish style bar for lunch and a few drinks. Found this place before we travelled and looked to fit the bill- so added to our list of places to visit. Really disappointing. Food looked great, but tasteless (lacked flavour and seasoning). The bar and facilities were great, well decorated and a perfect set up for what we wanted but it was noisy and loud we couldn’t hear each other speak. Such a shame as we had high hopes- but dashed.
Food was good and the service was really good. Definitely worth going if you in southie.
I had lunch with my niece here on Thursday afternoon, I had the baked salmon and she had a grilled cheese with pulled pork, everything was delicious and the prices were great!
The food was great and our server, Kacey (sorry if it is spelled wrong) was fantastic! She was very attentive and even put up with my silly jokes. I had the Country Fried Chicken and I loved it.
It was unbelievable I didn't think I would like it I went with my cousin we both were so in love with it we wanted to go back the next day!
I grew up in the Boston area. This Bar and its crew are top notch and I can't think of a better place besides the old country to relax for a pint!!
Saturday is full even after lunch hour. The decor was very classy retro, clean with good lighting. The layout with the bar that divides the dining area was expected but nice. Good atmosphere. Agonist full house. The wait staff were fantastic. The clam chowder item sits on the bottom of the menu. Don’t be fooled. It’s one of the best I’ve had in Boston. I love this dish and order at every outing. This one is so creamy full of chunks, mmm, so savory. My only regret was I only ordered a cup instead of a bowl. I finished and watched while a friend across me enjoyed a bowl. Dang it. The nachos with chili fries were really good too. This appetizer came with sour cream and tomato dip on the side but the chili poured over the nachos were excellent on it’s own. The jalapeños pieces are spicy so careful. The drinks and food prices were less than other bars and restaurants in the area. Check it out.
Humble beginnings turned into a really nice space but still the same boring atmosphere save your time and money and go to the Lincoln up the road if you want a real tavern experience.
