The staff was unbelievably kind, always checking in on us to see what we needed, and were so apologetic for the delay in service. The service alone will bring us back but the food was phenomenal.
We had a great time! Would definitely recommend.
We came to Serafina with my husband after watching a YT video that showed their "amazing" truffle pasta. Now while the pasta was ok (a bit under-seasoned for my liking) the pizza which we shared as an appetizer was fantastic! Seriously regretted not ordering one for take-out and eating it on the way home! Service started very well but we only managed to order one drink each for the whole meal and once they were finished our waiter managed to successfully avoid our table until it was time to get a check. Might have just been unlucky. Happy to come back again one day and try more pizzas!
Omg!! Food is amazing. Still dreaming about it.
Delicious food that is reasonably priced. The tagliolini di portofino is a must have. Will say, most times I have come the service is slow, but the food makes up for it in my opinion.
We had an acceptable meal at Serafina. The cacio y pepe was superb. My wife has celiac disease and they were able to accommodate her with gluten-free pasta. Her dish was so-so, as was our guest’s gazpacho (which was served without a spoon). The service was very slow and also inaccurate (missing spoon withstanding). Our waiter was friendly, but seemed stretched too thin. They continuously switched the dishes and drinks between not just our table and the one next to us, but also between other tables.Overall, we had a positive experience I’d say, but given the options on Newbury St. alone, we probably won’t be returning.

The food was definitely not worth the money. My pasta felt like melted butter was poured all over it rather than the sauce depicted on the menu. My friends experience was the same. We will never go back to that restaurant. Service was poor as well
we were seated near the bathrooms, where there was an unpleasant smell. the service was top notch, however the menu prices were not up to date so the bill came out with unexpected prices, which were later fixed. food was disappointing, flavorless, and unseasoned. the price did not justify the taste and quality of food. the ambiance was cute for brunch
We tried this restaurant last night while on a short trip to Boston. We needed a place where we could dine outdoors (COVID) and picked Serafina, largely based on the menu: A. we are vegetarians and B. we love pasta. All their pastas come vegetarian friendly unless you want to add on animal proteins. We had the burrata appetizer, the cacio e pepe, and the tomato and basil with tagliolini instead of spaghetti. This last modification was suggested by another reviewer who pointed out that the tagliolini was house made. Everything was excellent. Add to that a very decent wine list, a decadent piece of chocolate cake for desert, and an upbeat, very helpful waitperson. It all made for a great experience and beckons us to return in the future.
