I don’t know that they should be allowed to have a “Bloody Mary” on the menu… it’s Clamato and a lemon. Not good, and definitely not a real Bloody Mary. The jumbo shrimp cocktail was standard-sized grocery store shrimp. Campbell’s soup makes better clam chowder. Waitress did a good job. But there has to be better seafood restaurants in Boston… there HAS to be. …. Aaaand the bill was $150!

A beautiful Sunday stroll from our hotel to the marketplace for some seafood. Lots of tourists but they found a seat for six of us outside. Four of us ordered the lobster roll and, having just come from Maine, we were a little disappointed the size but the quality was OK. Our teenage girls ordered the calamari and a plain hamburger Our server was very knowledgeable about the local restaurants and was friendly. The ambience is great. There you have it.

On a beautiful day, you can't beat sitting outside in Faneuil Marketplace at The Salty Dog. The food is excellent. Everything is fresh. The people around me were really enjoying the oysters and clams. I had the bacon wrapped scallops. YUM!! When the weather isn't cooperating, eating inside is just as fun. Unique atmosphere. Same great food. it is with good reason that this restaurant has been here for so many years. Don't miss it.

When dining in a high-tourist area such as Faneuil Hall, you never know what to expect ahead of time. So while around the front of the building there was an upside-down magician suspended in the air getting out of shackles, we came here to enjoy some outdoor seafood dining. We were very pleasantly surprised by how good the service was - definitely felt looked after throughout the meal. As for the food, it was a bit more hit or miss / my scallops were pretty good, while my friend's seafood was a bit chewy. Would recommend dining here if you are in the area and the weather is good

Solid menu, food was really good with the only thing brining it down a bit being the chowder (bit too much flower in the composition to thicken it?). Portions were really big as well.

Great sea food. And cold beers

I was there recently with my family. Our server wasn't exactly on the ball. Very slow, no motivation and didn't resolve an issue we had. So I didn't leave a tip. His work wasn't what it should have been for the prices they charge. I looked at my visa statement the day after and no tip was added. But I went on today and a tip of 33.00 was added. This is fraudulent. I clearly put a 0.00 amount in tip. I am glad I have my copy of bill showing this.

Good seafood. Great location.

Great location near Faneuil Hall with no reservations required for a sit-down meal on a busy Saturday night, but it was so crowded & after our meal we discovered the tiny restrooms opened to the small galley kitchen. That's a definite turn off. Servers were very friendly & attentive, but the drinks & food I ordered were lacking in flavor. I had the Pomegranate Rose Sangria (a mistake, don't waste money to try it), crab cake & Mixed Greens salad with Cajun Grilled Shrimp. Although the portions were generous, there really was not enough seasoning. My Hubby had the Lobsterman's Casserole and said it was OK, but I'd recommend going elsewhere.

Restaurant is a tourist trap but the seafood is arguably better than Legal Sea Foods, and it was great to eat outside on the patio during covid times. Fun for the family.
