Ruka is more like a pan Asian fusion restaurant with sushi than a true Nikkei Peruvian restaurant. As they say it’s ‘Peruvian Inspired’ keep that in mind. The dishes are beautifully plated and taste okay but I expected more for this place since it’s so hyped. The Peruvian flavors were not obvious. My favourite was the King Tupac makimono. The cocktail with sesame oil was a bit weird. Overall if you want Japanese or Peruvian plenty of other places in town.

We showed up on a busy Friday evening with no reservation at 745pm and got seated immediately by a very polite hostess. The place has a hip vibe, with good music at just the right level (well for a 50 year old!) so we could still talk without yelling. I could have eaten everything off the menu - choice is huge, prices are decent.We started with 2 rolls, then had a substantial Mongolian beef with (minimal) noodles. Make sure you try the tempura cheese - wow. We had the lost city tea pot cocktail for 2 - which was strong and tasty. Service was excellent throughout - our best dining experience in Boston and the bill was pretty reasonable. We will be back.
I loved this restaurant! The vibes at the bar were amazing and the wagyu sandwich was to die for. The atmosphere at this restaurant was amazing. The vibe at the bar was wild, and my friends and I loved listening to all of the music being blasted. The wagyu sandwich was to die for. The meat was so flavorful, and the bread was so soft. We devoured that sandwich in under a minute.
The food is not too bad but nothing exceptional. The service is the worse I have experienced in Boston. You don't feel welcome when you arrive at this place (manager David very rude). So there are definitely a much better options in town especially when it comes to Japanese / Asian food O Ya, Oishii or Zuma to name few.

The quality of the food was fantastic, but the service was quite slow. Not much of a worry normally but we were off to the theatre.
Absolutely awesome sushi meal! The fish is fresh and tasty, the ambiance was trendy and modern, the staff were friendly and attentive, and the prices were reasonable for the prime location and quality of food! 10/10 would recommend!
The atmosphere and service amazing. The overall food is delicious, definitely american asian fusion. I gave it a 4 because some of the sushi flavors arent that great, but the rest of the food is pretty yummy.
Really enjoyed dinner at RUKA! Walked in on a Friday night (7pm) without a reservation. No tables for 2 were available for another couple hours, but luckily we were able to get seats at the bar.Loved the ambiance and the food. The 2 of us shared the steak tartare, calamari, King Tupac roll, and Phoenix roll (not pictured). Enjoyed every dish. We didn’t come that hungry so 4 dishes between the 2 of us was enough. Food came out extremely quickly.
