food very bland and over priced, added 20 percent tip to bill said everyone in Boston does. we ate at five other locations and none of them added tip to bill.
Staying at the Bostonian and stopped by for a nightcap. Bartender mocked us for wanting lime with our $53 tequila shot - then couldn’t dream up a drink with Frangelico. Bad service and over priced
We chose this restaurant because we're staying at The Bostonian, so it was the easiest option since we were too tired and just wanted to have a quick meal.We ended up having the most stressful dinner ever! We ordered 2 appetizers and 2 entrées, pretty simple. We waited more than half and hour to get one of our appetizers which was the clamp chowder. I mean, all you need to do is to heat it up and bring it to us! But no, it only came after we made a negative comment about the wait time. Both entrées were OKAY, nothing special about them to even make the wait worth it. After finishing with the main courses, our second appetizer still hadn't come! We double checked with the waitress to make sure that the order of moules had been taken and she was like yeah, kitchen knows about it. When I complained about the slow service, not only didn't she apologize about it, but she immediately blamed everything on the kitchen and sort of clarified there was nothing she could do about it. I mean, she had us waiting for such a long time, she could've at least checked on us or informed us about the estimated wait time. I assume she wouldn't care about the whole situation because the restaurant stated on the menu that 20% tip would be automatically added to the final bill. So, after checking twice on the moules, we decided to cancel the order and asked for the receipt.Again, we waited for more than ten minutes and receipt still hadn't come. We were so mad at that point that we decided to speak with a manager. She heard us out and apologized to us for the bad experience. We mentioned we would not pay under any circumstances the 20% tip because there was barely service at all, not only did she agree on that, but also offered us a 50% discount. So, unless you are willing to spend almost 2 hours on 2 main dishes and 1 appetizer, DO NOT EVEN BOTHER COMING TO THIS PLACE.
The food was soggy and not pleasent. The staff were not helpful and were just talking to each other and not providing service to their customers. They added gratuity with 20% automatically when they didn’t earn a simple cent for their non existing service. Don’t eat or drink here.
My friends and I stopped here to eat breakfast. It was our first time eating in this fancy restaurant. The breakfast was delicious and a bit expensive. The waitress was nice and attentive. I would definitely eat here again.
The chicken salad topped with guacamole was unexpectedly perfect. The wedge salad could’ve been put on a plate rather than a bowl… but its integrity was spot on. Great coffee, and service by Tommy completed a wonderful lunch. A quiet little spot in a turbulent world.

North 26 is such a great spot in downtown Boston located right next to Faneuil Hall! The menu here is amazing, with the coolest cotton candy drink, chicken parm egg rolls, and a pizza called the “Fig & Pig” that was SO good. The Spicy Garlic Shrimp Pasta was also to die for and the staff are so friendly! Highly recommend!
Took over an hour and a half of waiting for food when there were only 2 other tables. Another table waited over an hour for 1 salad.
Haven’t been to this place since Covid. New menu was awesome. Claw chowder was thick and had plenty of clams. Calamari was perfect and the pasta dishes were fantastic. Healthy portions. Looking forward to going back to check out the rest of the new menu.
