Meatball is excellent

Great food and great service! Definitely will be back

The food is very delicious! Only issue we had was that they don’t allow you to have the cheese wheel come to you if you’re outside or in the basement so I wish they had told us that beforehand since that’s why we came.

Fantastic Italian, some of the best pasta in town!

Waited 40 minutes for our reserved table. They don’t server the special “Northends Only” parmesan pasta table side to outdoor dining - no warning when you book. Food is eh, drinks are eh. Better places a few blocks away where they honor reservation times. We also asked to speak with a manager to understand why things were taking so long, they never came.

My friends and I had a great dining experience at Nico’s Ristorante. Our server and the other staff were all friendly. The food was amazing — we had the burrata with prosciutto as appetizer, and it was so delicious. For entrees, we ordered the shrimp scampi, spaghetti carbonara, and the braised short ribs. Each food was so scrumptious, all made with fresh ingredients. I highly, highly recommend the braised short ribs — they were melt-in-your-mouth tender and the mashed potatoes were so creamy and smooth. Literal heaven in every bite. The next time I’m in Boston, I’ll be returning to Nico’s!

Inside the restaurant is nice but since it's summer, dining outside was our call. Was concerned that since we were 1/2 way down the block that the service might suffer. It didn't. Our server was attentive and our meal was tasty. The North End is a waaaay better place to dine now that al fresco is an option!

Horrible food, barely Macaroni Grill level food.

I’ve been here many times in the past. Food is always good. Next time I won’t bother if seated in basement. Our table was next to the bathroom line. Also, I’m sure the waiter was good and seemed very professional, but our table was the unlucky one that would receive only fair service. The young man serving water and clearing was awesome. I would have ordered more food and drinks and lingered if had a better table. I just don’t think their space is comfortable. It is more fun if you have a table for 4 and eat upstairs. Also, the menu prices shown here on open table are not correct. There is nothing on the menu under $20.

There were two disappointments that I think the restaurant should be aware of 1)The host at the front said they only had outdoor seating, despite our reservation being for standard indoor seating (because it was hot outside). However, only a few minutes after we sat down, there were multiple tables open inside that remained open for most of our meal. 2) Our pasta came out at the same time as our appetizers/made it difficult to enjoy the appetizers. Overall, we would likely avoid this chain of restaurants in the future, given the mismanagement of the reservations.
