It's in downtown, serving halal food, family owned.I couldn't taste much, just ate shawarma wrap.Not like original Turkish doner (shawarma) but it was nice. Meat was cooked earlier and grilled to serve hot. This is why I gave 4 stars instead of 5. Next time I'll try fresh cooked chicken and lamb plate.
Very very satisfying - just a lamb shawarma sandwich with extra meat is normally enough to keep me until dinner, and I'm normally a pretty big eater!Super friendly guys in here too.
The chicken shawarma plate was delicious and very large! One of the best I have had in the area. Will definitely come back! The man working was also really nice.
We ordered a lamb shawarma, chicken shawarma, falafel and tabouli. Other than the chicken shawarma sandwich being decent, the rest were not good. They don’t actually have shawarma (meat roasting on a vertical spit). There were some pieces of minced lamb on the spit but he cut them and cooked them on the griddle. The chicken shawarma is marinaded chicken also cooked on a griddle - it’s not actually a shawarma. The falafel was very doughy, the tabouli had no bulgar wheat or tomatoes or flavor for that matter. It was parsley and onions rough chopped and tossed together.
If you’re from NYC and like shawarma, this is not the shawarma you’re used to. It was kinda bland (except the sauce which of course was spicy). My search for good shawarma in Boston continues.
I Was at first sad to see it replace my favorite sandwich shop when I went to pick up a sandwich... but I gave it a try and what a delight ! the best gyro in the city and great lamb kabob wrap which are getting harder and harder to find in Boston.
Highly recommend. Some of best shawarma you can find. Portions are huge, high quality ingredients made to order. Rice, Fresh salad, and hummus accompany any shawarma plate. Enough for two people. I’ve tried plenty of shawarma and this is at the top of the list.
Went here for dinner, one of us got a Beef Shawarma, the other got a Lamb Dinner. Both were very filling. They made everything in front of us and was fairly fast service!
