We had a great experience here. When we arrived we were seated promptly and our servers were attentive and thoughtful. The food was great and everything we expected. Will definitely recommend!

Good food. However it was VERY crowded on a Monday night, also music was very very loud I had to shout to be able to talk to my friend who was seated in front of me. The service was slow. Let me tell you a funny story: after we were done eating our main entree (lemongrass mussels and some noodle dish) they served us the appetizer: scallions pancakes...imagine that! ?To be honest, I will not go back. My friend however, did really like the food and will go back.

The locals advised us to reserve a table. We scored a couple of seats at dinnertime without reservations at the bar overlooking the cooks at Myers + Chang. Liam, our server, was personable and explained the menu well, excellent waiter, encouraged the two of us to share the dishes which are served hot off the wok, not necessarily together. Nasi Goreng (fried rice with shrimp, ground pork, and pineapple) was delicious, plenty enough for the two of us. The fried egg on top was a surprise, I assumed the eggs would be scrambled. The sambal sauce provided the perfect heat, hot enough to tingle my mouth without making my forehead sweat or my nose run. Enjoyed watching the cooks, the pros are much more efficient in the kitchen than I am. The head chef/co-owner was cool, calm, and collected. Could not have been happier with our meals, next time I will try the braised pork belly buns. I did not ask what the 3% Kitchen Appreciation charge was all about. Ah, sweet mysteries of life.

Decent food but disappointing service.Located in an up-and-coming neighborhood in South End, Myers + Chang is known for their contemporary Chinese and Southeast Asian dishes. I recently had the chance to visit, but unfortunately, it was far below my expectations. With a lot of incoming delivery orders, their kitchen initially seemed more focused on making the food as fast as possible. We ordered in total of 8 dishes, and they all came out in less than 20 minutes. For a place that introduces itself as a tapas style restaurant, this was unprecedented. It almost felt like they were trying to rush us out of the restaurant, and it also undermined quality of some of the dishes. The deviled eggs, nasi goreng, and the tea smoked ribs were good, but the surf & tuft noodles, dan dan noodles, and the dumplings were unremarkable. The surf & turf noodles were especially unappetizing, and we ended up leaving most of it. Our server also didn’t showed up to our table after taking our order, and we barely got her attention when we were about to get our check. With the focus shifted to delivery orders, Myers + Chang wasn’t what I hoped for. There were some dishes like the tea smoked ribs that were worth trying, but I probably wouldn’t come back.

Delicious modern spin on Chinese food. We were with a group of 15 which can often be a pain for ordering and wait time, but our large group didn’t phase the staff at all. The service was excellent, we had a continuous stream of delicious dishes and drinks. I loved everything, the fried rice, pork dumplings and udon noodles were my favorite.

Second visit was a great at the first (5 years ago). Modern ambience, flavorful inventive cuisine in decent size portions (for small plates). Plenty options for low-carb diet, but recommend the Hakka eggplant, sweet and sour brussels sprouts, Thai pork lettuce wraps, Shoyi tuna + spicy salmon poke, and seared local cod dishes. Will return again. Note: They add a 3% Kitchen Appreciate fee, tip waitstaff extra on your own.

First time here and loved the food and atmosphere

The service is prompt. All the fusion dishes are well done with proper seasoning and creative assembles. The cocktail selections are versatile. Nothing is bland nor boring. Fun time.

Super flavorful chinese spin. Everything is served family style (suggest 2 plates per person), and pay attention to the chili peppers next to the dishes on the menu that indicate spiciness -- they are accurate! Loved the pork buns and pork dumplings -- excellent. The vegetable dishes varied, some were good, some very good. They did a lot with the space to give it some atmosphere and obscure the bus stop out front. Cute spot with good service -- will return on subsequent trip to Boston.

My family recently enjoyed a four night dining experience in Boston. Having covered Italian, French, and Seafood we wanted to end the trip on a new experience that we could not otherwise readily enjoy in our hometown. Myers & Chang hit it out of the ballpark. Being otherwise unfamiliar with refined Asian cuisine , our waiter served as our guide as we tried 6-7 dishes. All with distinct flavor and wonderfully prepared. While they do have a limited wine menu, their other options were fantastic.
