We love all the desserts we got. They not too too sweet. It's our first time in Boston and if we come back to Boston again, we will definitely come back here. Fruit tart is very good. It's one of our favorites.

Have dinner at a North End restaurant and then come here for dessert. Another of the North End's legendary bakeries. Very popular, so expect a long line. I got one of their signature Amaretto Cakes -- it was "to die for" delicious. CASH ONLY!!! (No credit cards)

We tried some cookies they had in the back as well as a mocha mouse and peanut butter cup. Everything we ordered was delicious. There was still a long line on a Wednesday at 9:30pm. It goes to show just how popular this place is.

Not necessarily best cannoli options so we got a choc chip cookie (above average) and a florentine cookie (amazing)!! Really perfectly delicious. Carmella, chocolatey, nutty, chewy and a little crunchy delicousnes

Double espresso, cannoli, ricotta pie slice and peanut butter Torrel chocolate piece of sorts. Low key vibe. Parking was no problem.

World class pastry shop, everything you could ever want and then some! Beverages are available with every kind of pastry and cookie delight conceivable. We got all the styles of cannoli they offer and were amazed! Very conveniently located right next to the Boston Freedom Trail. They only take cash so leave your credit card in your pocket. Expect a bit of a line to get in, there is a small eating area in the shop . Don't miss this when you're at Boston!

We had tried Mike's Pastry on the previous evening, and so we were up to the challenge to decide which Pastry Shop is better!! Oh my - everything in the Modern Bakery shelves looked amazing. The display cases were filled with cakes, pies, cookies, and pastries. It was so very hard to decide, and we wanted to order one of e everything! Instead we chose a Keylime Tart, a luscious Lemon Bar, a delectable Florentine Cookie, and a Dark Chocolate Turtle! Everything was so yummy & if the line hadn't been so long we would have ordered a few more Florentine Cookies for later! So which famous Italian Bakery is better? Both are amazing!

Popular pastry shop on Hanover with friendly staff and out-of-this-world offerings that will make you question everything you've ever had up to this point. I hesitate to use words like "best ever", but this was the best cannoli I've had...ever. Unreal.Go. Wait patiently in line. Be polite. And order many things.

Quite a decent cannoli. Harder shells than mike’s. The pistachio one was good. Fresh cream. Queue was around 30 min on a Sunday evening. Won’t queue again. Price is rather steep at $5 per cannoli.

I think the shorter lines here compared to Mikes tells the story. Both are good but I go to Mikes except for the fact that the line can get really long at Mikes. Can’t go wrong either way. Both are cash only for some reason.
