Food was not tasty at all. Tomato Coconut Soup was awful
The food was excellent! We ate inside in the light filled dining room. Cocktails were also very good! I highly recommend it if you like Indian food,
The service was excellent, âMelaâ was training a new person, and he did great. The food which is typically delicious, was ok, this round. The Mango Lassie was missing a bit of flavor, the chicken Tikki Masala was missing lots of flavor. The cauliflower vegetarian dish had very little sauce, and the flavor was different than in the past. (We visit quite a bit) The review above is not standard, This is a place you should try, itâs a fantastic spot for Indian food. On the plus side, the naan was delicious, we had the plain, and chicken, the vegetable samosas were out of this world, good. We have been long time customers and plan on returning many times over, not sure if Mela has a new chef or is changing recipes. We appreciate Everyone at Mela. See you soon. Grateful customers
Beautiful restaurant interior. Excellent Indian food and pistachio shake. My favorite dishes are the lamb entrées, especially the lamb vindaloo. Staff will replenish plain rice for free if you ask, but it was hard to get a hold of server. Service was not attentive. One time, several months ago, a customer at the table next to mine (a large group) chastised the server for not checking on them during the meal or refilling the water glasses. I've been coming to this restaurant for more than 10 years, but service has noticeably lapsed since 2020. Food is still delicious, but please improve the service.

Good tasting India food at a fair price.Most of the staff is friendly as well.We have been going for years and will continue to. Even recommended it to my office for catering.

The food was excellent. The servcie and atmosphere were good. I would rate service and atmosphere very good except that as the result of COVID there continues to be a brisk (good for them!) take out business and that detracts a bit from the ambience and attention of staff. But we would defininitely go back. Great location in the South End and near Theater.
The food was great, the setting is nice, and the staff was polite and efficient. I’ll definitely return for more food in the near future.
