10/10 would recommend! We stopped by needing to kill some time and so happy we did — we found our new Boston go to spot when we fly in!! ? The staff was kind and the food/drinks were great! Also appreciated the waitress, chef I think, and John being so friendly and caring about our needs and us being outside in the uncharacteristically hot weather (we’re from SC we know all about it but they didn’t know that!) #SupportLocal ?
Had dinner at this neighborhood bar and resturant last night. I really liked that they had a drink menu with their special cocktails. I had the Jalapeño Margarita which was really good. When a place says it has a spicy Margarita they normally just throw a slice of jalapeño in it and call it good. Here at Maverick House Tavern they actually had muddled jalapeño in it which makes it so much better. We did order the nachos for an app. Unfortunately they were not the best. Only had a single layer of cheese so if you didn’t get a chip from the top you missed any chance at cheese and they lose their namesake if its just a pile of chips. I had a spicy shrimp taco and Cajun chicken taco. Unfortunately they were more average in flavor. I’m still giving this place 4 stars. The wait staff was friendly and I’m hoping it was just an off night for the kitchen. Drinks were good. I would try it again to see on the food. Good place for a drink though.
Best burgers around. Friendly staff. Great cocktails & mocktails. Try a Mule Mocktail, so refreshing! And it has a totally chill atmosphere.
Came here on a Saturday night and was seated outside with no wait. My friends ordered a burger and chicken sandwich. I tried their food and it was good. I ordered a few tacos with corn tortillas. The tortillas were fairly dry and broke apart. The filling of the tacos were delicious though. I'm going to come back and try brunch or more menu items soon.
Amazing drinks and food! The service was great as well.The space has gotten bigger since the last time I was there, but the food menu has improved!The fries are bomb!

This place has such a fantastic vibe! The drinks were awesome! The food was killer!! Our server was on point and friendly!! The dart room had written Play The Game on the windows!! Such a blast!! I'll be back and bring friends!! I hope more people come and experience it as well!! They won't be disappointed! So easy to get to as well! Right down the street from the Maverick T stop.
Under new ownership now so positive old reviews do not accurately represent the current restaurant. Can't believe I just paid $5 for a CAN OF COKE w my meal. Burger was pretty good but the bun was cold. This place is definitely not what it was. Go to The Quiet Few instead.
