My wife and I came to Mamma Maria for the first time to celebrate my birthday. We ate on the patio; the ambiance was great and the area was shaded by the surrounding buildings. The service was excellent. The carpaccio was the best I've ever had. Tuna tartare was as expected. Lobster agnolotti tasted great and was well balanced. The cocktails were refreshing, and the desserts were unmatched, sealing Mamma Maria as one of my new favorite restaurants.
It was a great restaurant the food selection was fantastic and we got a free dessert for celebrating our anniversary. Would recommend the outside patio.

Great food. Great service. Ovie is the best!
We went to this high end North End Italian with an out of town guest. We sat inside in a charming room. We had the meatballs and capers de salad for appetizer ls and rabbit ragu for our mains. The apps were good and the ragu was very yummy. Portions are moderate but we were satisfied. Excellent wine list. Service was friendly but efficient. Although a priceyâ¦food and wine, we would go back for a special night
Yum! Folks, if you want a good red sauce restaurant in the North End, there are plenty. If you want fine dining, this is a great choice. Everything was wonderfulâfood, drinks, service, and ambiance.
The food was really good, great ambiance and decor, and the waiter was attentive, however the staff were way too somber including the maí®treâd. Kind of felt like I was at a funeral which dampened the experience. Iâd return again though when back in Boston. Thank you Chef for a great meal!

Dined here last night for my birthday before a show. Sat inside and found the interior to be refined, clean, and comfortable. Service was excellent and professional. Food was beautiful, fresh, and flavorful. Was on a mission to find a real Italian restaurant (not Italian-American) and this was it. This reminded me to so much of going to a nice dinner in Italy. Creative, fresh, and flavorful. Absolutely loved it and canât wait to come back
