If you are looking for an Indian place in Boston this is it! Good food! I loved their coconut chutney (typical Indian style) .. Chat was also good (9/10) Masala dosa could have been more crispy but it’s not bad! I loved their mango lassi, idly samber and aloo tiki chat! Pani Puri was flavorful
Madras Dosa Company is a tiny spot with limited seating. We ordered masala dosa and gunpowder masala dosa and filter coffee. The dosas were served with coconut-cilantro chutney, tomato-ginger chutney and sambar. I loved how crispy and delicious the dosa was. The menu includes street food like chats, pani puri, pav bhaji. If you are in the neighborhood and craving for Indian food this is the place to go.
The dahi puri and pani puri are amazing!!! Their different dosas are a treat to the stomach and adding podi makes it so spicy and nice. I believe they have one of the best sambars and idlis too. They are really soft and well cooked!
Great experience having dosa in the Boston seaport location, I ordered masala dosa the person in counter suggested two more sides to add to dosa but I don’t want to add cheese or anything and keep it simple, but she suggested to add podi at least and I thought to give a try, it came out too good with spicy kick in the dosa, I wanted to thank the person for the suggestions or i would have missed the kick, we ordered samosa chat that also tasted too good and one more dish we ordered was paneer dosa , we expected that like masala paneer stuffing how we used to get in HSB or VB in Chennai but this one was plain, the chat was more filling and dosa was right the size for normal person, overall it was a great experience. I missed to mention filter coffee earlier. we ordered one and it came out from coffee machine after seeing it I thought I made a mistake should have skipped but to my surprise it tasted too good, one should try this if you are here.
An extra star for the Mango Lassi only! The dosa and sambhar are good. The coconut chutney is really nice.Papdi chaat is a must have if you’re a chaat fan. The flavours are too good. The gol gappe are good too.The filter coffee is not really filter coffee. Don’t have it with that expectation or you’ll be disappointed. The best thing here was Mango Lassi. Even if you’re not a fan, have it and you’ll become one.Overall if you’re craving south indian or chaat, you can definitely visit this place.
Masala Dosa (spicy potatoes +Gunpowder), canteen sandwich (Chicken)
I got a samosa, masala dosa, and a paneer sandwich. Skip the samosa, but DEFINITELY try the other two. Nicely priced, really nice desi food on a cold day.
We ordered a masala dosa, pav bhaji and mango lassi.Everything was delicious and also the place is very clean and hygienic.
The reason for second star is food presentation and cleanliness by me I would have given 1 star. When I got there items on the menu was not available and the food was way below average Sam at had too much sugar and tasted bad overall food did not taste good and this place have no customer restroom and way over priced and it was a very poor dinning experience I would not recommend this restaurant to any body
Small, cramped seating and wasteful packaging - but the dosas are so good!!! The chaat was excellent too. The sambar and chutney aside - there was also a tamarind/onion sweetish chutney which was different and good. This place is worth a look in for the authentic taste and fresh food. The mango lassi was good and the podi was spicy even for someone who has a large tolerance for spicy food.
