Stopped for a quick lunch. Food came fairly quickly, which was nice. The clam chowder was okay. Fairly thick but with way more potatoes than clam. The ratio should be reversed. The lobster rolls were decent but not as good as others we’ve had. And for what is more or less a fast food place, it is pretty pricey.
Was excited to grab the first meal in town but wasn’t that impressed with Luke’s. Good service, quick to push it out, but just didn’t hit the spot. Roll could be improved and the butter drizzle wasn’t impressive. Will be looking for another lobster roll spot next time I’m in Boston.
Nice rolls combo, a lot of seafood in there, not too much buttery and well toasted and warm bread. I would have liked the seafood a bit warmer to appreciate better the flavors but it was really good like this too. (32,10$ for the tris + a bottle of water)
Trio and clam chowder are tasty!
I guess I expected my first taste of Boston claim chowder to have more zing. It kinda laid there. The claim chowder in Detroit has more flavor. The lobster roll was good but could use some more salt and pepper.
If you asked me what food would remind me of Boston I would probably call out one or more of these; Lobster, Crab, Shrimp, and Clam Chowder. The trio plus the chowder here, was a perfect combination and portioned for satisfaction. A Ginger Brew and the Sea Salt Vinegar chips complemented the meal for a very memorable experience. Highly recommend!
they have nice lobster roll. Clam chowder and lobster bisque were little salty but pretty good. will try soon someday.
Frozen crabmeat with no flavor served in bland industrially made bread with added butter that eliminates the little crab flavor. It was suggested that we add potatoes but it was a packet of potato chips which we declined. For two small sandwiches and a pepsi we paid $50 in Boston. For less than half the cost you can get two sandwiches at MacDonald's that are much healthier and tastier!
Visited for a quick lunch option. We opted to try the NE Clam chowder and the crab roll. Both were the best we’ve had since arriving in the Boston area. The crab roll was overflowing and so tasty. The Chowder had lots of lovely clams and wasn’t overly seasoned as others have been. Would highly recommend and we will be back before we go home.
Don't eat here; it's a scam! The Luke's trio for 29,95 $ !!!!! Look at the small pieces! We thought we are in the hidden camera or completely wrong movie. Be careful in this "restaurant".Shame on you !
