This is a great spot for a date or hangout with friends. The food was amazing. The Guacamole is a must try, especially the one with pork. The tacos were good, really wish they gave you 3 tacos instead of 2. The cotton candy is a nice touch at the end. The chocolate blueberry cheesake was also delicious!
I have never seen anything like this in my life. We reserved a large table and they ended up dividing our party into two tables at opposite ends of the restaurant. We were made to feel grateful for being allowed to eat there. The portions are small and not worth it. At one point we were told to leave because they needed the table though the place was not full. There is a culture of rude and aloof behaviour. (Wait staff were excellent to be clear; hosts were not).
We had been to the 'Lolita' in Back Bay a few years ago, but it seems to be temporarily closed, so we sought out this one. Excellent drinks, kind & quick service, plus numerous options for our 4 vegetarian diners. Great to see that both 'Lolitas' have high standards. Definitely worth a visit if you want solid "cocina Mexicana" or just a fine drink by the water.
We had team outing lunch here awesome interior awesome public and excellent food. You need to book well in advance. Also there is waterfront sitting as well. Food was simply great try Margaritas those are awesome
Love this place. Beware the inside is verrry dark. The stained glass bar is super cool. I ate outside as its a great view! All of the food was great
Meh, drinks way over priced to Look pretty but yet have no alcohol! Food okay not great, we had a family of four that’s all we had, and it took them 10 minutes to bring out four items separately. That is the number one rule not to go to a restaurant in my mind. Will not go back, SAVE YOUR MONEY!
I used to love coming here and have recommended this location to many people over the years. Its got a funky ambiance, nice location, and interesting menu options. But, I will now make it a point to tell people to avoid Lolita Fort point. Management needs to take some drastic measures and fast. To anyone reading, I recommend walking over a few blocks to Bartaco where the service and food were LEAGUES better. The past few times I have been to Lolita, sadly have been subpar. However, last Tuesday, 6/14/22, took the cake. I had dinner plans with 2 friends and I suggested we try Lolita because they have a bar outside. The main host stand said they had no reservations which we had anticipated. She pointed to the 2 inside bars to check for spots or the outside patio with a separate host stand. We put our name in with the outside host at 6:33pm (text received) and proceeded to the bar to grab a drink while we wait. We found 2 seats open, with dirty dishes and empty beer bottles on the bar top. The bartender (a young short blonde girl) was counting money in a drawer with her back to the bar for 12 minutes. Every seat at the bar was taken with guests. The other bartender (young brunette girl) seemed to only be doing the service bar, and kept coming over to talk to the one counting money, but neither of them looked up once at any of the guests. Several seats next to us emptied and two new people sat down next to us, dirty dishes in front of them as well. I noticed a third employee behind the service bar area as well but could not tell if she was bartending or bar backing. No guest seemed to be receiving drinks the length of the bar at this point in time. The main bartender finished counting her money and immediately went to the far end of the bar (without surveying the rest of the bar) and opened 2 beers for existing guests that flagged her down. 15 minutes have now past since we sat down. She ended up in front of the 2 newer guests next to us and barely said hello but started cleaning the plates out of the way instead. She did not ask them if they wanted drinks or menus. She then moved to clear the dirty dishes in front of us but would not look us in the eye. I ended up greeting and let her know these weren't our dishes, we are new and hadn't been helped yet. She nodded with no verbal communication back, and walked away with the dishes. A manager walked behind the bar once or twice scanning the scene but not interacting with guests either. The main bartender came back from dropping off the dishes and walked past us all to the same far end of the bar again where an existing guest had to ask her for 2 drinks. She never addressed my party or the new party next to us, and only made 2 mixed drinks and 2 beers in the 20 minutes we were there. Extremely frustrated and thirsty we got up and left. I mentioned the issue to the host and the manager i had seen behind the bar earlier, neither seemingly too upset. If she had been busy tending the bar and taking multiple orders, it would be understandable. But she seemed to care more about counting money and avoiding human interaction altogether. The Bartaco bartender immediately greeted us on arrival, gave us menus, asked for our orders, made suggestions, and had drinks in front of us all in less than 5 minutes. They had a full bar and were very busy as well (with more seats than Lolita), but all guests were still provided customer service, which is a bare minimum requirement of a restaurant. Please get it together Lolita.
la atención es muy amable y eficiente
excelente atención y servicio
I am an older gray haired man from Switzerland. I had a reservation at Lolita. I was refused entry because I did not have my passport with me. My ID card and driver's license were not accepted. Foreigners are not welcome! This is extremely discriminatory especially since I really don't look like a 20 year old kid with my gray hair and wrinkles on my face.
