A strong pass. And underwhelming time that will leave you scratching your head over the check. The venue tries to be a bar/seafood/sushi place and falls short of everything. The food is mediocre at best, and for the $50 per entree you’re better off walking into virtually any place in North end. Menu lacks creativity and personal touch. Sushi was good but fish wasn’t the freshest (visited on Sunday lunch).
Never felt this disrespected in my life. My service animal was not allowed even on the patio. I had all the paperwork, and they still denied me. The discrimination was appalling.04/30/2022- Hi, I am sure. This was on September 14, 2019. I had a pending review and wanted to complete the review. I am 100% sure it was this restaurant because my family and I were thinking of going to the seaport tomorrow, and we remembered this traumatic event.
One of the best menu's in all of Boston. There is something for everyone, from the extensive sushi menu, to a number of pastas, delicious shared plates and main courses. If you like Love Mac'n"cheese...theirs might be the best I've ever had. Lastly save room for dessert, because the Tres Leches Cake is amazing. Tasty drinks, fun atmosphere and vibe, and waterfront location only enhance the experience. Been here a number of times, and look forward to coming back every time!
Just be prepared to shell out money for overpriced mediocre sushi. For example their California rolls are 22$ (of course we didn't order it). We only went to try it because of their bogo deal hence why I didn't rate it lower than 3.The restaurant itself is beautiful and maybe their other food is better?
Not good. Really didn’t enjoy the food here. The fish did not taste fresh. It was chewy. Rolls that sounded exciting, lacked flavor. The octopus used in the carpaccio seemed like it may have been precut because it was very dry. Seaweed wrap of the king crab hand-roll was completely chewy and soggy rather than crisp; this also was almost completely void of flavor. The service was good, but the food quality cannot be that low for what is meant to be a high end waterfront restaurant in a major city. Please pay attention to what is coming out of your kitchen.
Surprisingly good!! Pricey, but well worth the overall experience.
I live in the neighborhood and have been going here since they opened. I also frequent the ACK location. The food here is ALWAYS good and consistent. Depending on who you get, service is ok. However, I was in there this past Sunday evening and the bartender could not have been more rude. I also asked the food runner for a side of spicy sauce that never came and the bartender never even asked how our food was. Also, the attitude of the Manager that was working on Sunday evening was horrible as well. I will not be going back anytime soon. I am not spending $$$ and tipping $$$ to be treated badly. It's too bad because I spent a lot of money there and come in with lots of people. I would stick to Nautilus, Ocean Prime or Davios if you want to be treated well. I think some of people in the service industry think that we should be LUCKY they are serving us. I understand places are short staffed and people are over worked, but the rude behavior of some of these folks is just unacceptable. This has been the attitude since the pandemic and I personally am sick of spending a lot of money to be treated badly.
The first thing you notice entering the restaurant was how loud the "background music". Then one notices an impact of that during the current pandemic: a major fraction of the staff has face masks around their chins fully exposing their mouths and noses. In the case of our waitress that was consistently true when she was speaking to us at our table and bending over to communicate due to the high noise level. I mentioned this to the manage when I went to the rest room int he middle of his meal, no one had stopped by the table to ask how things were going. He seemed surprised. But for the rest of our meal the staff was generally actually using face masks. If you do not care about the pandemic, feel free to ignore this point. I had ordered beef bulgogi from the menu. The waitress did point out it was spicy - a little odd since I had eaten the dish in Korea, Japan, and US restaurants and it was never really spicy. She said she could make it less spicy. The dish can really spicy.
Stopped here for a quick lunch while I was visiting a friend in Boston and all I can say is WOW! The food, the atmosphere, the servers, the music…. Everything was beyond amazing and I’m so happy I had a chance to visit this place. The food was flavorful and the service was on point. Continuously checking on us and clearing the table. Talk about a great first impression. I can’t wait to visit my friend again simply for this restaurant LOL (and their veggie lo mein of course)!!!
Despite having a reservation, we were seated half an hour late and when we were seated, we were squished into a corner table. The environment was also very disruptive as neighboring tables were being extremely loud. Food was overpriced for its proportions and did not taste like anything special. Water was spilled over one of our guests and service was extremely lackluster. Even after this, after we received the bill, the waiter said we got the wrong bill, but we did indeed get the right bill. When we received the new bill, a 20% graituity was automatically placed on our bill, despite the poor service. Will definitely not be returning again.
