Very spicy hotpot much better flavor than any other hotpot in town. Strong recommend try spicy level1

Great hotpot place with plenty of soup base options. They have a dip sauce buffet so you can customize your own sauce, which is extremely friendly for a picky eater like me.The downsides of this restaurant includes:1. long waiting time( due to limited tables and hotpot do takes a while to enjoy)2. Not friendly for hotpot rookies and people who are not good at Mandarin (because you have to make your own dipping sauce and that determines your hotpot experience)3. They only have 2 type of table options so if you got the small pot table, you can't order a normal size hotpot(the ones that you share with others) and if you got the big table, you can't have your own soup base.

Hot pot place with quality toppings and solid service. My friends and I were craving for some hot pot on a cold and rainy day, and found this place in Chinatown. The place had ample seating options that could accommodate a party of 6, and it seemed like a perfectly place for casual hangouts. We didn’t want the hassle of adding toppings one by one on the phone, so we got the combo special for 6 people which essentially had all the great toppings. However, we were still only able to choose two options for the soup base. Spicy beef oil soup base had a strong cumin flavor which I didn’t like, but the tomato soup base was on point. Among the numerous toppings that we got, standouts include the beef, scallops, mussels, dumplings, and the mushrooms. The dipping sauce customization was similar to what you would expect at a typical hot pot place. Since all the ordering process was via our phones, we didn’t really interact with the servers, but we were still able to get what we needed in a reasonable amount of time.

Fresh food and amazingly tasty broth! But they didn’t update their menu so some dishes came different from the menu. Overall, everything is good, service is very nice too.

Liuyishou is my go to hotpot place in Boston despite the long wait every time. Overall the food was delicious, fresh with lots of unique options. We ordered the “Yuanyang Pot” with the two different kind of soup bases. They are spicy beef soup and duck with pickled radish soup. Both are very rich and tasty. Will certainly recommend this place.

Not the best hotpot in Chinatown. The spicy soup had way too much chili oil and tasted too oily even when boiled. Some of the balls and dumplings were alright for the price. Decent place for hotpot but probably won’t come back.

Tried to dine in on a Saturday night but wait time too long. So end up doing take out. Ordered a combo which comes with all material including two types of soup bases: spicy and non spicy. Set up pot at home. Both flavors are tasty. Sauce needs to be ordered separately.

Lots and lots of food! Very good and reasonable. The service was excellent

The broth was awesome and the menu was great. I was here with a party of 7 and it was well worth the wait!
