Legal Seafood is one of the most traditional New England restaurants and a must âdo when we have guests. We all love the famous clam chowder with rolls, as the house specialty, as well as the restaurant ambience. However, this time even when we did enjoy the clam chowder, just left feeling really underwhelmed by the experience at Copley Place location.
Sat over 10 minutes before we were able to stop a hostess to tell her no one had come near us. Server showed up almost 5 minutes later as if nothing happened. Spotty service from then on, one entree arrived 8 minutes after everyone elseâs, food temperature could have been better. Not up to standard for LSF, a rough Sunday evening.
Legal Seafood has changed for the worse.. the food quality and amount was not what it was once too badâ¦
Great wait staff! Terrific selection. We sampled seafood and steaks. Loved colossal grilled shrimp, roasted potatoes, green beans, filet mignon, street corn, broccoli au gratin, lump crab meat with lobster!
It was awful, worst meal iâve ever had in boston. Hopefully our server karen was really convenient and didnât charge us the lobster raviolis that was so bad.
Our dinners were very good (the Trout was cooked well), our server was excellent, and it was nice and quiet.
Usually a staple for our family when visiting Boston, we were looking forward to dining at Legal Seafood. Unfortunately, we had an absolute terrible experience. To start off with, the server could not get a drink order correct. Took 20 mins to bring water with no ice and a bottle of wine. Next, the server never brought bread, and botched our order. The main course came out before appetizers. The waitress was nowhere to be found numerous occasions until fellow waiter stepped in to try to assist with our dining experience. After having our table handed over to a different waiter, the original server occasionally lounged around the table disrupting our meal. Upon ordering dessert, the server never came back to provide us with our order. Finally, a different server stepped in to assist us with paying our bill. At that point to original server had the gall to come back and ask us not to tip the server who helped us. Throughout the entire experience, the manager did not once come by to check on the table or how our dining experience had gone. Absolutely awefull. Definitely will consider never returning to this location, extremely disappointed. I was contact the next day by the general manager to follow up on my dining experience. She was great and addressed all of my concerns.
Service was awful. Never got our drinks or water refilled, food was cold when it came out, then had to wait an additional 15 min for condiments to come out. I even wrote on receipt how bad the service was
We went for my momâs birthday and we enjoyed it so much all because we had the best server- Nathalie! She was so attentive, super friendly, and helpful with our questions, anticipated our needs. Nathalie was overall the best server! The ladies at the hostess stand were very nice too. The food was very good. Overall, it was an enjoyable and pleasant dinner!
Service was slow, especially from the bar. Place just had a weird vibe. Not what I remember this restaurant to be.
